Probably the best of what's available though !! Will really depend on how well the team is prepared and organised . Should be well able to beat this Derry team . A very big,and important day for Andy Mc Entee. The best of luck to him and his team.

Yep Power and Mc Antee where the cause of a lot of problems last time, very surprised they survived. I am not sure about Carry I don't know him here is hoping he can do something.

What do folk make of Toher's inclusion at midfield? Few picked thrm in their own teams so interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

Alot of positional and new comers. So its going to be essential we get of the good start. Or panic could sent in, Its good see Conor Downey starting because he has been in form so far this year. Important to get the in form guys on the pitch.

Its more down to a lack of option more than anything, donnacha Tobin injured, James mcentee injured, harnan not fully fit yet, cathal Finn injured, declan Smyth injured, even if you look at our bench I don't think their is one half back replacement

I love this decision, this guy is so strong physically, great engine on him as you might have noticed in his Christ ring success, he's an outstanding off the ground free taker I'm almost sure he will be taking left footed frees and 45s, think 45s are slightly out of lenihans range. Finding a left footed free taker has been a major problem ours, massive loss for the hurlers, but a massive gain for the footballers

Toher picked tomorrow for the footballers is management giving the hurlers the fingers. Toher is barely good enough to be on the panel never mind starting on the team. He is a far better option for the hurlers as he is an excellent hurler.

Granted we have some injury's but Forde could play wing back and Conor Downey has been playing well in half back line. But Andy has pushed them to Half forward line. I can understand that though with Biggy missing forde strength at running will be needed there also Downey has played as a defender so he well help put defending from the half forward line. and is good at going forward also. But all in all it could more of defensive Half forward line he is going for.

We need more from our half back line, the team seems to be picked around the winning of breaking ball. This is crucial if we are going to win this game.Don't be surprised if Downey is used as a sweeper as such.Cian O'Brien to help the midfield,Forde and O'Sullivan used to run at Derry and create.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Keoghan moved out.

Yes you could play Keoghan anywhere. I expect to see him nearer centrefield to enable Menton use his strenght going forward in attack, providing of course he has support. Breaking ball is critical, but that is only the start ,as forwards need to be alert for quick ball. Over elaboration banned ..shoot if within distance unless someone is better placed.... Dont be trying to copy Dublin and others who are further down the road than we are. The more passes we make the greater the risk of error (for now) Really with organisation we can win this one easily. Nothing elaborate, just concentrate on the basics. We know we need players to win posession at midfield etc,but we have to do the best we can with what we have got
Andy knows that, and will learn from the last day. Meath to win !

Spot on Ziggy I say that's roughly the plan. obrien and Downey to play more defensive rolls. And hopefully we can get on the score board early so as we are not on the back foot from early on putting pressure on a the forward line score straight away. Like last week.

Of course the players need to learn from the last.day........that goes without saying ! No doubt Andy will have highlighted the learning points for each player ,and as a team, as would be normal for a coach!!! Meath to win by 5 !!

Well that's a good one was tiger a sub last week. You would think if he was really in the plan he would have been played last week but it looks like James has made a decision to put football 1st.

Ok so McEntee made a few changes.

However a number of players lucky to retain their places.

Downey certainly deserves to get the nod

I would be against the Toher call - I just don't think he is a county footballer but we will see tomorrow.

Will not be there tomorrow but hopefully this Derry team don't travel well.

I like your confidence Nobull. What has so confidence ? half back line looks weak, also we have problems in the full back line also in Midfield.

Interesting test ahead - best of luck to all just hope nobody gets injured. I think it is a good call not to start Biggy as he is a big player for the Cilles the following week and it is after all a league match v an AI final. Good to see Downey starting as he has been one of the better players in any match I have seen. Will be interesting to see how Garry performs

Forgot to add that Derry who appear to not being going very well have Slaughtneil in AI final having beaten St Vincent's with their No. 6 marking Connolly getting MOM scoring 4 points from play.
