Donaghmore - Ashbourne have 2 teams in U21 this year
Remember they won few year ago U21 championship and second team won B championship same day,.
No other club I believe has replicated this.

very true but that was a few years ago it will be very hard for them to win the senior and get there team focused for a u21 championship

great win last night for Ratoath beating a well fancied Dunshaughlin team
really good game very open football except for Dunshaughlin tactic to target Joey Wallace for some rough treatment , other then that a good spectacle
Ratoath will have Dara Kelly back for next game and will be stronger after two tough matches under their belts

Really? What treatment did he get? Was it synical or just bad fouling. Who stood out?

It was synical bad fouling
But referee dealt with it eventually albeit half an hour late, also joey handled all they threw at him in great style
Stand out players for me were no.11 for dunshaughlin and no.8 also there goalie was good
Brian Daly at full back Kieth McCabe centre back, Gavin McGown mid field and joey Wallace were all good for Ratoath

no talk really about the other u21 championship grades..who do people fancy at u21A? Rathkenny opening up with a strong win against Walterstown could be a shoe in. Killary Emmets, Gaeil Colmcille, Wolfe tones have had strong teams at this age. I reckon it could be between the tones and killary.
21B looks open. Drumconrath/Meath Hill beat last years 21B winners very convincingly..could be a tough team to knock. Cortown had a decent win against Ballinabracky also. I reckon Clann na nGael, Duleek/Bellewstown, Longwood and Blackhall Gaels could be contenders too, although we're yet to see most of these teams play yet..
any thoughts?

U21 Donaghmore/Ashbourne to beat Ratoath in Final
A; Wolfe Tones with Killary next in line
B; Hard to call last years runner up Moynalty might be best

so Ratoath came through the replay..what are their chances of winning it out? surprised there hasn't been more games played by now..makes it hard to know who will be strong..
I see Rathkenny beat St. Olivers today in 21A..now into a semi final..wonder if they'll have it in them to win it out..
Oldcastle beat Duleek/Bellewstown in 21B by a point on Friday..would have expected D/B to win that one to be honest. Drumconrath/Meath Hill ran through Cortown/Carnaross today too..they must have a strong team..I'd consider them to be the main contenders based on form.

its a disgrace that Curraha and Summerhill have to play this sunday with both teams having players playing for Ratoath and Kiltale the day before in leinster. I see there are 21 fixtures for Tuesday next week so why couldnt this game be moved as well or fixed for then

I sympathize with both clubs, however, Curragha is first and foremost a football club, like Summerhill, it doesn't have a legence to any hurling club. Kiltale's associated football club is Moynalvey, while you could say Ratoath is Curragha's football club, I have never heard any of the young lads around there go on about it. In saying the above, it does bring in the question of player burnout and a topic for the newly formed CPA.

Cashelard - Curraha have ten panelists on the winning Ratoath Intermediate team this year (not all under 21 of course) and they also have lads that will be playing a Junior 2 Hurling final Saturday too.. i heard that the reason behind the fixture being played was that there are teams in mayo and roscommon playing two days in a row so we can do same.. gotta love the county boards attitude

According to LMFM it appears Simonstown were thrown out for not fielding.
