That direct line is brilliant , the executive normally don't release nos of club nominations , so that's either spoof or indication of original direct line . Such a direct line that this level is made available

If you were as well tuned into the other gender footballing world , you would have realised that in the last 18th Months the Meath Ladies Senior team has gone thru an upheaval akin to the Irish famine , With a large number of experienced players heading away , and other players declining to make themselves available for the Senior set up . Unlike the men's side of things there is no ruling yet imposed about players ages , and a number of the successful minor team are members of the Senior squad .... Blow smoke elsewhere Browne pat It looks like its up to the ladies & Hurlers to maintain a bit of pride at National Level Chaisleain_Abu (Meath) - Posts: 220 - 02/08/2016 11:01:23 1893924 Link 0 |

Exactly well said. For the first time in 4 years they will be addressed, and we should start to see a turn around, rather than the constant decline year on year. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 08/08/2016 22:41:27 1898447 Link 0 |
Let's hope so. Let's hope so! The desire and knowhow is there with Andy et al. Let's hope the players are there, making themselves available. Maybe, just maybe. Believe again! David (Meath) - Posts: 567 - 08/08/2016 23:40:23 1898489 Link 0 |
Well done to Andy McEntee, hopefully things work out for him and he can turn us in the right direction. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that things got done so quickly. Htaem (Meath) - Posts: 8657 - 08/08/2016 23:52:24 1898499 Link 3 |
I think it would be remiss not to compliment the County Board on the swift manner this was dealt with, I cant remember a managerial appointment confirmed so quick after the predecessors departure, a month and we have a new manager and backroom team in place with plenty of time to scan their eyes over possible new talent in the club championships. Not very often I compliment officialdom but credit is due here I believe. Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3734 - 09/08/2016 02:52:25 1898532 Link 3 |
i posted that he would get this along with Gerry and now i am delighted. For the first time in years we have someone who can get things right. His attention to detail is top and his backroom team is exceptional. This is the bet ticket Meath football could have hoped for and i cant wait to see the believe and steel that will be injected into players now. Everyone will have a clean slate and onwards and upwards. League promotion is now a reality and the end to the situation where we are losing huge leads should be over. Players will get serious direction now and we will have a game plan up there with the best but it will also suit our style. Great news and the much maligned county board should be applauded for a swift appointment. pretender (Meath) - Posts: 358 - 09/08/2016 08:20:51 1898550 Link 0 |

Menton will back, possibly Forde too.. Carroll? I don't think he is good enough but that will be up to management.. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 09/08/2016 10:40:19 1898621 Link 1 |
It is almost guaranteed that we will see a swift change in attitude starting next year. The players will begin to believe in themselves which is what the team have been lacking for years. Promotion and a Leinster title is all of a sudden a realistic goal whereas with MOD you were never sure what the outcome would be. I hear Shane O'Rourke was playing with Simonstown it would be nice to see him back in a Meath jersey and get some much needed presence in the full forward line. Can't wait for next year Hon the Royals! Jimin10 (Meath) - Posts: 783 - 09/08/2016 10:47:42 1898625 Link 0 |
Genuinely really excited by Andy Mc Antee appointment. For the first time in ages Meath have not take a shot in the dark but gone with a man that has a proving record. Huge task awaits but hopefully we can rise to the Challenge. And at least we survived in div 2 so div 1 is now a real possibility. bobkarlgees (Meath) - Posts: 1263 - 09/08/2016 11:03:16 1898639 Link 0 |
Ziggy, on Carroll perhaps but i would certainly not rule anything out. It will depend on the overall style of play. I just dont see an out and out playmaker at the moment out there and we need one who can pass and dictate the pace of the game. I am not saying he is a solution but everything needs to be looked at.
