Derry v Meath

Sounds like we were much the better team in the first half and should be more than 7 points up, this appears to be the story of MOD's management, what horrors await us in the second half?! Can we do these 2 things that we almost never seem to do:

1. Come out at the start of the second half strongly and not give away 3, 4+ scores without reply?
2. And the big one, can we finish the game strongly, particularly the last 20mins? (a period of the game where we regularly fall to pieces).

Doing good so far anyway, C'MON THE ROYAL!!!

We have wasted a few very good goal chances, backs making lots of runs, lavin acting as a sweeper, Reilly o Sullivan, keoghan, Harnan , Burke all had good half's actually most have them have had avgood start, but I have this pit in my stomach and my mind cant help thinking of Westmeath last year, Cavan and Galway this year and even Derry too.
Hon the Royal, please don't make that journey home a nightmare

The classic start of a second half under O'Dowd. This is unreal stuff. Every bloody time.

MOD can go,I am absolutely sick of him.Took Keoghan off when the game was in the melting pot.Keoghan not happy at all! 3 points in the second half.Hasn't won a qualifier.Always making excuses about the team been young etc.
Furious isn't the word I would use..

The great Bert was right again

What evidence is there to suggest meath will beat Derry? Like the last few years the team is going through the motions.

As a die-hard supporter I can't get over the loss against Dublin.

"A run in the qualifiers" is no consolation

I don't think we'll beat derry

Very sad day again for Meath football. Mod has to go now terrible decisions again. It looks like the team have lost faith in him along time ago

Jaysus that's unusual, Meath blew a first half lead and only scored 3 points in the second half.........sure maybe we have a young squad and we're still building, it's a 6 year project now.

Another second half collapse on MODs watch. No solutions.

Time for a new management.

Were there any highlights to MOD's tenure? I cant think of any.

Promotion from Division 3
O'Byrne Cup Champions 2016
A glittering tenure

Do you not know that was a young Meath team today.

Mick is only 4 years into his rebuilding process

Meath played well in parts..

Injuries didnt help

Difficult playing away from home

It was a windy day

The grass was a bit long

Derry scored more than us on the day

The lads were going well in training so don't know where it went wrong

Here's to another 4 years??? Anyone ??

Does anybody know if keoghan was injured? If not its up there with one of the biggest managerial gaffs of all time.....how long after keoghan went off did Derry get their goal, pshycologically that one sub would have given them a massive boost and crippled us in one go.
