"We haven't chance " that's a bit harsh. Where are you reading that ziggy ?

Wouldn't mind him. I'd have zero time him. He couldn't keep his mouth closed inside the dressing room and he's as bad now outside of it.

Whether you agree with him or not,if I was in his position I wouldn't be saying what he is saying. Although I hope the players read what he said as it may help motivate.I really really hope we win,but my head is telling me otherwise. Team selection will be interesting.

Out of interest, when was the last time we beat Derry? I certainly can't remember us beating them in the recent past.

Agreed Jinxie... those who have played against him on the club scene can attest to the kind of character he is.

Lads posting comments under a veil of anonymity on a forum are well-positioned to criticise...

At least Reilly puts his name to the comments. I'm not sure what the big deal is - he gave his honest opinion. So what.

Don't really see what the problem is with his comments, he's telling it as it is instead of sugar coating it like some other people.

I think Reilly is using some reverse psychology here, issuing a challenge to the team to show he is wrong in his estimation of the team. This is a must win for Meath for a number of reasons,
1) get back on bike after Dublin pasting
2) beat an old unbeatable foe,
3) break the record of bad " qualifier" runs
4) maybe keep MOD in place . If beaten then MoD needs to wrap it up.

Eamonn Barry was manager when we beat them last in a league game in Navan.

Do you think Meath have NO chance though?

Well Kevin Reilly said we must keep MOD,now he says we have no chance of beating Derry who are very average.
He also put this up on his twitter after the Dublin game..

"Insanity doing the same things and expecting different results"

Now does he support the MOD regime or not?

Reverse psychology ???

Their is probably Lads on the Meath team right now happy to agree with him booking there holidays for next week as we speak !

I don't think reverse psychology would work with these boys to be honest ..i think them feeling sorry for themselves after getting spanked by their Dublin Daddy is what they prefer !

Trust me these boys wont beat Derry or the Derry u12 team this Saturday because they are already gone on holidays !

Unless Kevin knows more about what has gone on the last few weeks.Something that Moyles suggested recently. Its up to the players to prove him and people wrong on Saturday.

Ok I wouldn't agree with no chance I think it's a 50/50 game. But he is right that it must have been very tough after the loss to Dublin, luckily we had the two weeks to prepare though.

That "thing" moyles suggested is fairly well known I think. Sometimes it's not even the night of the game it's the following day as well.

I don't think Kevin's doubt lies over the quality in the Meath team he doubts if the lads will be able to motivate themselves after the beating from Dublin.

Derry will be in the right mindset for this game but the Meath lads might be lacking some motivation after focusing on Dublin for so long. I know as supporters we had very large doubts over if Meath could beat Dublin but I'd imagine every single player in that Meath team trained and believed they could beat Dublin and after losing that badly I'm sure the majority of them are still sick.

With that being said I'm sure Louth were in the same boat after losing to us yet weren't too far off Derry, so we'll see.

God, Reilly comments are harsh. Its hard to know what to make of them comments, He is probably just saying what he thinks. I am not sure Meath where that gutted and at a such a low after the Dublin game. I sure they will pick themselves up ok. I still reckon they Meath will put decent performance against Derry.

Should they not be used to losing to Dublin(as annoying as that is)?
