great to see the hunger & fight in a meath team. you can really see the influence of barry darren & paddy. the dubs weren't given an inch & when they wake in the morning they'll know they were in a game. i think that was a very poor dublin performance though, they didnt seem to know what to do when they got the ball. whether we made them look bad or they made us look good i'm not sure, great shot in the arm for football in the county though.

A great win, especially as for a while now we have become accustomed to losing to Dublin. That is the one thing that has annoyed me the most over the last couple of years, the fear that Meath have of Dublin. It's the most un-Meath quality as previous successful sides fed off beating Dublin, it's what made them true warriors.

Meath now reportedly play Kildare in Pairc Tailteann as per Leinster GAA Twitter machine

If they are doing it they are doing it the hard way. Laois, Dublin and Kildare there isn't a much tougher path than that. Where as Laois lose and then get Louth and Offaly bit unfair

So the two losers play in the semis and two winners play in the semis...

Tough draw, I do feel the winners of their games should have been kept separate

Its a farce!

Look Meath beat Laois.

Laois then have to beat Carlow,Louth and Offaly to reach final.
Meath have to beat Dublin and Kildare.

Great win by the Meath Minors on Saturday .An aggressive brand of attacking football is great to see from this team . Getting one over the auld enemy is a good one especially after the result in the League . I hope they go on to build on this and don't lie down thinking the jobs done . If anything Kildare will be more difficult task , but psychologically its a plus , just don't let it become a negative .
Anyone that's in the know will recall the core of this years Dublin Minors on the Gerry Reilly Squad ( U16) back in 2014 . They were beaten in the Tournament Final by Cavan U16s . Cavan Minors are languishing in Ulster at present not doing themselves justice .
Build on the Dublin win , don't believe this is a done deal . This years Dublin Minors were known to be inconsistent unlike teams of previous years .
Great to get a win over Dublin anyhow .

Play that that and they are All-Ireland contenders,BUT its hard to put back to back displays like that.I think it would have been better to draw Laois or Offaly as we would not have to play so well to beat those.Pressure will be on against Kildare.I really hope we can win this game because a defeat here would take away from the outstanding display v Dublin.

First time in years where you could actually feel pride in a Meath team performance. The crowd responded to it which made for a great atmosphere. Great tenacity from team with old fashioned spirit and good team play. Striking that there was no plauers from the so called big clubs on starting 15, great to see small rural clubs being represented. Hope we can keep our feet on ground as Dublin did look poor.

Hopefully we can match this performance next time out.

I remember the 21s beating Dublin a few years ago then losing the next round to Longford. Important we stay grounded.

Brilliant performance by team and management. it shows you players are there in Meath with the ability to compete There are 6 or 7 players from Division 1 Minor teams on the team but strangely nobody from D/Ashbourne (division1 finalists ) , Ratoath or Dunboyne. But there is a very good mix of players and clubs and they have mixed well
