Hey, Does anybody know what is in the Meath center of excellence building at Dunganny? other than the dressing rooms and gym. Is there physio treatment rooms? indoor mini pitch? hurling wall? Looked around online but could not find anything in regards to the facilities available within the building. SmallHouse (Meath) - Posts: 291 - 18/09/2015 14:02:17 1789021 Link 0 |
Dressing rooms and facilities for players and officials, indoor gym, medical treatment/physio room, large canteen, squad meeting rooms, offices and conference room, all administrative duties of Meath GAA are moving in from Pairc Tailteann, that's what I've been told is in it anyway.......oh and she's heated by a large furnace which loves hurleys :-) joking, joking. 6 large dressing rooms the 4 small ones as big as Trims, the 2 Big ones bigger, Refs rooms, Physio rooms, Sizable 2 story Gym, Main Office, Two smaller offices Coaching and Games room. Large meeting room and 3 smaller meeting rooms, Basic small canteen. By all accounts a fine building that you would expect for 2 Millon but I am told a bit on the basic side. I am away up today for a look but dont think there is an entry fee glenny (Meath) - Posts: 1108 - 19/09/2015 09:22:20 1789206 Link 0 |

Many so called experts say using astro -turf pitches causes injury, however I do not agree. Over use of any facility and over training causes most injuries There were guys claiming that sand-based pitches were causing injuries. The astro-turf in Dunganny is not 3G. The facility is good and about the colour of the building- is that not one of the colours in our national flag-maybe some folk want that changed as well. What next? browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 20/09/2015 13:27:00 1789482 Link 1 |
Well it's finally done. Time to move onto the next project. Knocking down the stand in navan and building a proper one similar to what many counties have like the main stand in donegal, Newry, Omagh, Armagh, tullamore, mayo, Galway, portlaoise, Wexford etc. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 20/09/2015 20:11:45 1789752 Link 0 |

Meath under 14,15,16,17 seem to be going well in these challenge games. Hopefully it continues and bears fruit at senior level. Just hope lads don't get fed up at these ages as could be playing too much . Bear10 (Meath) - Posts: 463 - 15/05/2016 13:44:40 1855044 Link 0 |
Ziggy, Looks like a good win for the U17s. Roscommon had good U21 sides recently so probably a good test as they must be doing something right at juvenile level to make a breakthrough at U21. AnFearBan1234 (Meath) - Posts: 110 - 16/05/2016 09:38:18 1855178 Link 0 |
I don't think the U16's were playing anywhere on Sunday. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 16/05/2016 10:23:41 1855188 Link 1 |
this under 15 team seem to be brilliant and very strong according to reports . just hope they can keep it going and maybe the seniors can develop one or two good footballers out of them in future . but as we all know good underage players don't always make the senior club grade. But here is hoping !! Bear10 (Meath) - Posts: 463 - 16/05/2016 10:38:55 1855198 Link 0 |
