Replying To MillerX:  "Will be doing well to come out of Omagh with a win, they beat Sligo far easier than we did. Tyrone will be well organised probably with a sweeper who will know his job. Anything less that 100% for the 75+ mins could mean trouble."
If they cant beat tyrone then they may burn the hurls themselves i think.
They should win this div in second gear , blood some players and move on
Anything less is a disaster

That's the theory but having to come from behind against Sligo and just keeping ahead of Donegal for a lot of that game does not indicate that the team is a 'well oiled machine'. I am just urging caution as there is a lot of nonsense being spouted about this being a stroll in the park. And Tyrone got over Sligo far easier than we did.

There isn't a chance in hell we won't beat Tyrone.

Blackhall out in Premier championship on Thursday at 8.00 & then out again 15 hours later against dunderry in AHL Div 2. Who makes up these fixtures

You'll also find it's always hurling on electric picnic and Galway races weekends.... Always

Tyrone lost to wicklow and we didnt if thats how your gauge things.
They drove to sligo the morning of the game which is not best prep for a game and i would imagine its very hard to get up for some of these games.
Your also talking about league games in feb with not your best 15 starting so dont read to much into things.

People keep talking about Meath trying to blood new players and us not having our best 15 out yet but can anyone actually name any other players currently not on the panel that we will have??
In my opinion we are as strong now as we are going to get for the year and I for one don't see that squad winning a Christy Ring.

I can't see any reason why they won't win the christy ring and they certainly should win the league. There's been different players missing for every game so far but still they're winning. They haven't had a full team yet between injuries and suspension etc. No doubt the lads that are there are capable if winning. Having said that absolutely there are players in the county that should be on the panel, some not asked and some not wanting to commit. There's also some players in the panel that shouldn't be next or near it. I still think Meath should be contesting in two finals this years. Lets hope we get a good win in London this weekend

Saturday's was probably the best League outing since the Wicklow game. Scored regularly for the entire game and rattled the net a few times. Like other posters I feel that there are other players out there who would strengthen the team quite a bit….but it's what's available that you have to rely on.
I do hope that there are always places open on the panel. Wicklow and Derry will be their main obstacles in League and Christy Ring.

Will county board pull all fixtures for first round of hurling league this weeknd?
Hard see any pitches taking that rain

Surely they will call it by tomorrow. its impossible to play hurling in muck and only leads to rucks and wrestling matches.

Wouldn't it be great if the County Board actually thought about the players for once. But your right it will be the morning before anything is called.

Why do they hate hurling so much?
What state are pitches in around the country?

Sense has prevailed for once. First time hurlers have had paddys weekend free in my lifetime. Its mad how "by the luck of the draw" its always hurling on "patricks weekend, easter, may bank hol & august bank hol.
