Woke up this morning looked out the window and thought to meself 'oh b*****x'. Like the middle of November out there. But looking at forecast for Sunday it seems ok for Mullingar only a few showers, just hope we don't get too much rain between then. Imagine a 5th call off, we may just forget it.

Lashing all morning in Mullingar area. However the drainage in cusack park is of very good standard so hopefully all will be well. Once it eases off a bit

Sub been shining for past few hours. No rain expected tonight, and showers tomorrow but not too heavy. Looking good.

Why do we deserve to know the team 2 days in advance? What difference does it make? Will u not go if it's not the team ya want? Just go get the programme and then youll see the team. Why do lads now want to see the team in advance I just don't get it. Maybe he doesn't know the team yet cause of injuries, in which case he names a few dummy players which causes an awful stir on here. He's not obliged to name anything beforehand and I agree with that simply because it's no big deal one way or the other

If pitches are suffering from poor drainage i know a few experts in that field (pardon the pun)

Glad to see Glynn starting. Micky in half forward line, will obviously act as a sweeper type role. Biggy ff, great idea. But I think for this year and hopefully the next few years he won't be asked to do defensive duties as such, keep him between midfield and forwards line that's where he can do most damage and without exerting too much energy, so his runs remain unstoppable. Also brilliant to see O'Brien and Curran back from injury.

Agreed.. this is where Biggy should be kept. Suits him better. Get more out of him in this position. The two lads back from injury is great stuff. Looking forward to see how this new look team play. I reckon this is our championship team. Glad to see Ben starting also. Alot of plus', lads with alot of energy and many that can do alot of damage where they are playing. Mickey in good position too. Hopefully we get it right this time. Hon the royals!

Burke will likely help out in the breaking ball department and will work hard as an extra defender. Team set up to run at Westmeath, Biggy and Sully will come deep, only concern is that Lenihan might be a bit isolated.

Unlikely to be thecteam that starts given previous released teams had little resemblance to team that started

For those traveling today, I wouldn't park straight across from cusack, can be a nightmare to get out , even on club game day. Harbor place shopping center is a good spot but actually the council car park adjacent to it is the easiest of the lot, entrance just beyond toll insurance and opposite national school , if you need refreshments Kerrigans is a nice place, the town itself Greville arms , as former sponsors of Westmeath they hate Meath , and particularly the management, so naturally after Ollie Murphy heroics that's the first place I went.
Safe journeys to all, the sun is shining around Mullingar, so let's get a good crowd here.
Hon the royal
