I'd agree there. I was very critical of him after kildare game, and of Andy for leaving him on so long, and rightly critical too I think. But in his defence he came back well v Derry and has showed incredible character since that. He's improved and obviously is very strong mentally.

Well lads long time lurker first time poster. I've got a bad feeling about this game. Parallels to McGeeney's first game shock loss to Wicklow! Might not be a bad thing to lose and maybe take a run at the qualifiers. Alot of nonsense being spewed about putting it up to Dublin when there's potentially 2 games to get to that stage. nonsense to say it may not be a bad thing to lose to louth.

Well that's encouraging to hear, heard stands were sold out, due to accommodating season ticket holders. Good to hear people still have option,

I have honestly never heard a Meath fan use the phrase it "might not be a bad thing to lose" to Louth. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1362 - 02/06/2017 08:00:44 1993357 Link 12 |
Cheers lads. The longer terrace opposite the stand, that's the church end terrace isn't it? If I remember rightly from last year

Along expected lines as when you take injuries etc into consideration there is not many other options Brownepat (Meath) - Posts: 532 - 02/06/2017 08:56:49 1993371 Link 0 |

good team had a feeling jones would start and newman would not. should have too much for louth. plenty of mobility in that midfield and interesting to see keoghan at 6 were he is good at launching attacks. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 02/06/2017 09:33:08 1993380 Link 4 |

jones was one of the best minors on the team a few years ago along with nash. he and menton may not be the greatest fielders of the ball.but both are strong runners, mobile and can get up and down well. important in the modern game imo.

Ah Ziggy, don't be telling he cant field the ball. Is there anyone in Meath that can catch ball anymore ?? Sure he will grow in to the role I am sure. He must have impressed in challenge matches to get a starting place.
