Replying To WhyTheLongFace:  "Graham Reilly is our Cristiano Ronaldo...when he plays well he is just a Joy to watch"
Well said the chap is a pleasure to watch. No stopping him when he gets going. Still one of the best players to grace gaa.

Replying To Ratoath Royal:  "Think people are being a bit harsh on Paddy. He screwed up monumentally for the second goal but he's been very solid this season and his kickouts have been generally excellent."
I would agree with that and he made one very good save. Stopped a couple of points in NL as well

People calling for Paddy's head are foolish. Today he made what I can only describe as the worst mistake I have ever seen on a GAA pitch but he made a brilliant save in the first half and another one in the second where Louth scored the rebound. His kickouts are by a mile the best we have. We were without him for one game in the league, it was against Kildare, we lost by 10 and we got wiped badly at midfield. I know Kildare have a good midfield but we were never beaten as badly in that area from then on. If we have Joe or Hannigan kicking ball out to midfield Feely and Moolick will mark the game to death and we will lose. Paddy is frustrating at times, but he is by miles our best keeper

Replying To nobull456:  "Yes Graham Reilly was clearly man of the match. Keep it up Graham.Well done for leading by example on this occasion. Toher yes he has earned his place for the next match at least. His ability with left sided frees is a much needed bonus also. Jones shows promise. Sideline decisions good, and Andy made his point anybody will be substituted including Shane if necessary. Defence porous to say the least. Workrate overall has improved..Clear that this is going to be a long haul to get back to top 8 status. A lot of work done, but an awful lot more to do. Looks like Andy is the man to do it. No doubt it would be easier for him if we can find some new players...but options are limited at this time as we know."
Bang on we are a work in progress but anyone in any doubt about where we are we got a wake up call today long long road ahead but Andy and team should be given alot of time to get it right

First time seen Jones I taught he was going to be takin off with 20 minutes to ago. But Jones but in a great last 20 he looks at class at act going forward. I taught Jones and menton where Isolated by Louth in the first half and where wipped out in the air on the Louth kick outs. We are really struggling to win opposition kick outs or anything in the air. I will say it again pity Rooney is missing he is going missed baldy against the likes of Kildare and others. That would free up Mento nearly anywhere anywhere from 1 to 6 . Love to see Jones to Rooney perfect combo. Rooney win the ball and give it Jones. And a word on biggie was never a massive fan but today he a real class act, Unplayable in that form. Alot to do for the next day but we are up and running now lads :)

I wouldn't be too harsh on keepers . as everyone know it is a lonely spot when things go wrong . Paddy o Rourke is a very good keeper and hopefully will be one of our main players this year .

First up , cometh the hour cometh the man. Graham Reilly, by Christ he has had his knockers (mostly from his own county) but that performance today was one of the best I have seen from any Meath player I have ever seen. Forget about the 7 points from play forget about been in the back line to get ball from por, forget about the excellent high fielding from kick outs, even forget about the 50+ metres run. When Louth were on top and ahead, and nervousness and inexperience reckless heads were all around him , Meath needed a leader they didn't have to look far as biggie stood up calmed them down took two points that were excellent and was giving instructions to every player, not since the days of graham geraghty and Darren fay have we had a captain so in command and leading by example, take a bow graham, you are as good as any player currently playing.

Routine win against a poor opposition. Very similar to late year. It was made a little more difficult by the error Paddy made. Onto the next

All forwards played well apart from cos which is unusual as he is a classy player. Playing burke corner back was a mistake that shouldnt happen again. Por always makes at least 1 mistake in a game made 4 in that loss to westmeath but is a good shot stopper. Ourbackline need to tighten up big time louth were running through us to much today if we let kildare do that we wont get away with a win. Brian mc had a good game and held up a lot of ball. Toher was everywhere and is very important to this meath team.biggie was top class as usual

Totally different to last year, fitness was 100 % better, attitude better, sideline doing what a sideline should and giving instructions and direction all the time, no arms folded looking bewildered. To say it was like last year is the most ridiculous statement you could have said, oh and double the winning margin.

Totally agree. If Louth scored 3 goals like today against us last yea,r we would have crumbled and Louth would have won by 7 are 8 today. The bottle Meath showed today was refreshing to say the least. And led by MOM Biggie.

Did Keoghan play better in the half back line or was he missed further back?

Ah to say it was similar to last year is very harsh. We completely dominated at the end of the game, scoring point after point which a lot was down to better fitness levels imo. The attackers look way better and it looks like there is an actual plan in place which is good.

Biggie had his best game in a long time in a green shirt and numerous other players have also improved significantly under the new management.7

I really don't know why some people want to see A MC fail, he is genuinely only in it to try and improve the team and make Meath a half decent team again.

The problem is we only have one keoghan he is too good attacking wise to have at corner back but mickey burke is not a corner back maybe half back sub

From a Louth man, rant and rave about Reilly's 7 points all you's want, but your real MOM was the number 9 today, he was quality, up there with the best in the country based on today's performance

overall it was a solid performance scoring 20 points from play is always good . we did look a bit vulnerable at the back at times but thats someting to work on. think we need more killer instinct infornt of goal as we should have had 2 goals
