Newman gas hardly played a game all year only started v down as it was in his home club... injury is one problem but biggest one is mcenteees don't fancy him due to lack of work rate

Any time I seen Newman his work rate was decent seen often seen him back in defense helping out. If Andy was going to drop players for work rate there is others that would be ahead of him in the que.

Without putting it any straigher to you , his agility is questionable .

Same old story wide open at back 3 goal chance's to a team playing badly eamonn Wallace still on the bus o Sullivan not in it goal chances at this level should be taken. Biggy playing well should have taken a point right on half time faded in midfield a bit and missing scoreable free s is unforgivable. Big improvement needed in second half the annoying thing is neath are by far the better team get the subsequent warming up and tell lads up it or your off simple as that matthematx (Meath) - Posts: 177 - 04/06/2017 15:49:49 1994469 Link 0 |

I don't know where you go we won here big score but if you let a bad team in for so many goal chances I don't know what a good team would do we can score no question but my god we are bad at the back. Biggy take a bow he gets some stick but I don't know where we would be with out him Thomas Reilly did very well Tobin wallace not mentioned matthematx (Meath) - Posts: 177 - 04/06/2017 16:31:05 1994495 Link 0 |
yes we let louth in for 3 goals 1 of them was an awful mistake by o Rourke and one was a penalty but we did score 27 points and missed some good goal chances listen its our 1st game of championship this year we never really looked like losing at any stage louth had a game under their belt too I am very happy with this result and because we conceded 3 goals plenty for andy to work on over next 2 weeks can we not be more positive on this site some people are never happy no matter wat we do a win is a win and I would take a win like that one today any day of the week

Biggy was immense. That's the most complete 70 I've seen from him. Paddy O had a very up and down day. Toher took his chance v well to thought. O'Reilly looked lively when introduced. Jinxie (Meath) - Posts: 6344 - 04/06/2017 17:16:17 1994524 Link 2 |

Biggy has 15 points from play in his last 2 competitive Meath games , if anybody knows anyone else in the country doing that please let me know, think we learned today how valuable James tohers left foot is and Ronan Jones is here to stay. Hope James mcentee and Mentons injuries are not serious redser123 (Meath) - Posts: 403 - 04/06/2017 18:16:02 1994556 Link 1 |
Look over the moon with the win we steamrolled them last 20 min but teams as advanced as us will not tier we were better team no question just think we need to kill off a team when on top as in first 20 mins lets learn from this don't give away goal chances S matthematx (Meath) - Posts: 177 - 04/06/2017 18:27:07 1994563 Link 0 |
That was the best the full-forward line played for a long time. Louth gave them way too much space. McMahon and Lenihan (after a quiet start) performed really well. Biggy made sure they took their scores when they were badly needed rather than the overelaboration by others, wasting good chances. Poor POR, the mistake in Roscommon was bad, the one today was farcical. I wonder would the ref have given them the penalty had they kicked a point. He waited a long time to give it. I think everyone has said what I thought of the game. Barney123 (Meath) - Posts: 676 - 04/06/2017 19:06:23 1994586 Link 10 |
Yes Graham Reilly was clearly man of the match. Keep it up Graham.Well done for leading by example on this occasion. Toher yes he has earned his place for the next match at least. His ability with left sided frees is a much needed bonus also. Jones shows promise. Sideline decisions good, and Andy made his point anybody will be substituted including Shane if necessary. Defence porous to say the least. Workrate overall has improved..Clear that this is going to be a long haul to get back to top 8 status. A lot of work done, but an awful lot more to do. Looks like Andy is the man to do it. No doubt it would be easier for him if we can find some new players...but options are limited at this time as we know.

Well done Graham only for him out there leading his men this could have been disastrous for us. Sheer class if a man. As for Paddy...he is going to be the death of us. Not the first time he could have cost us a game and we all know wont be the last. Surely to god he is not our number one goalie?? The man is a liability! Think people are being a bit harsh on Paddy. He screwed up monumentally for the second goal but he's been very solid this season and his kickouts have been generally excellent. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1362 - 04/06/2017 19:40:34 1994614 Link 11 |
