It was with great surprise we learned of the short illness and sudden death of Johnnie Cassidy. Johnnie served as treasurer and committee member and was an avid supporter of Castletown GFC over the 85 years of his life. His sons played for the club and Ollie acted as a referee for many years. People at his removal said he never missed a local funeral which was evident by the huge crowd that attended his removal and expressed their sympathy with the family.
