Casserly, Anne

Nancy was the daughter of the legendary John Newman who famously captained the Bohermeen team that won the Meath SFC from 1909 to 1914 and again in 1916. John later acted as the Chairman of Meath County Board. St Ultan GFC's grounds (Sean Newman Park) honour his legacy. Her late husband, Tossie Casserly was a famous cyclist who won a world championship medal in 1936. Nancy always took a keen interest in the progress of the Meath team as well as the local games members of her family were involved with. Her son Tony currently serves as Chairman of St Ultan's GFC.
