Mattie was a brother of Dickie and also played his football with Gibbstown before he moved to the Quarry Rd in Ardbraccan. He was one of teh men behind St Ultans Blotto and it possibly would not be still going strong today without Mattie selling so many envelopes over the years. He was a proud Gael and served St.Ultans for many years as a selector to various teams and also at committee level. At the time of his death Mattie was a Life President of St Ultan's GFC.
