JHC: McGee hits 5 as Trim Juniors run riot

Trim 8-18 Kildalkey 0-2

Aaron McGee returned to the Trim jersey on Sunday afternoon for the first time this season. His return was a timely boost to manager CJ Murtagh as McGee repaid him with a five star performance in front of goal. 

Trim got off to a flying start when McGee fired over his first point in the third minute. After just five minutes the No 13 got his first goal when he hit an unstoppable shot to the roof of the Kildalkey net. Trim added three more points from play from the sticks of the impressive Andy O'Brien, Stephen Doyle and Leighton Massey. In the tenth minute O'Brien got his first of three goals after a great had pass from Leighton Massey. 

Mark Murray, Joey Toole and Doyle again clipped three more point over the black spot in the next four minutes. The game was over as a contest by the thirteenth minute when McGee got his second goal to leave his side three goals and eight points to no score up. Trim were in total control and were winning the individual battles in every sector of the pitch. The super Reds continued to dominate proceedings for the remainder of the half an added three goals and nine points before the half time whistle.  These scores coming from Aaron McGee 2-1, Andy O'Brien 1-1, Joey Toole 0-3, Mark Murray 0-3 and Leightoin Massey 0-1.

Half Time Score: Trim 6-17 Kildalkey 0-1

Manager Cj Murtagh reshuffled he team at half time and brought on four subs. These changes if anything made  the Reds stronger and they continued to dominate proceedings. From the throw in McGee struck his fifth and last goal to finish with a tally of five goals and two points. Andy O'Brien got his third goal of the match and Joey Tool added a point. The game petered out the referee blew the final whistle early.
