Re; Alllstar94 2nd tier is a term used to cause divisions and anyone that has ever done any coaching courses in any sport knows unity is what makes teams and panels better, not labelling them tier 1 team and tier 2 team. So I am reluctant to agree with you on this panel. First tier and second tier teams is a label coined by McStay et al on the Sunday Game to try and have 2 championships one for the best 16 teams in the country and then one for the rest. It was never intended to be used or abused in the context you used it. And also it is Ensure not Insure.
Anyway besides all that great win for Leitrim yesterday. Hagan is trying different formations and getting results at the same time. Happu Days

If they are from Leitrim it would be Sean Fee from Drumreilly and its M McWeeney, Sean McW came on for Leitrim yesterday, hardly Michael McWeeney from Carrick? he was centre back whoever he was, only lad taken off

Other players with collges

Athlone IT - Shane Quinn and Jonny Mulligan
Sligo IT - Michael McWeeney & Clinton
NUIG - Conor Guckian & Shane Moran
GMIT - Alan Wynne & Connor Kelly
UL - Phelan McHugh
Carlow - Cian Reynolds
DCU - Donal Wrynn

There are probably more than the 11 above but its not a bad position having these guys playing in the local competitions where their colleges are, how many of those 11 will make the cut?

My knowledge of the 11 is limited but would expect Moran, Reynolds, Wynne and Wrynn to be in there

For those not in Ballinasloe see Galway forum on Hogan stand.
Interesting comments re dealing with Leitrim tacts!!

It is a huge morale boostet and a big incentive to beat Sligo and get an extra game in the final.
The big target must remain winning Div 4

The game against Antrim will be a real test.I see they had s big win yesterday and have a number of players back this year
This is the real goal and with added confidence we can take them..

agree joeman antrim is the acid test not a subsiduary competition, a win against antrim sets up the season in my opinion it opens up the division for us the other bonus for teams who have antrim away in my book would be that they dont have to go to casement so its new territory for a lot of that team, without knocking the fbd too much to win it back to back would do no harm either considering how many students we have away with college clubs

Phelim McHugh has played midfield in both the quarter final and semi final against Kerry for UL in the McGrath Cup. They were heavily beaten by UL. Not sure of standard of UL football is that high though.

Take a look back on my posts about tye NFL joeman123

I've been saying Antrim since last August is going to be the pillar game

An Ulster team able to score goals against Tyrone

Anyone would be afraid of them on a bad day

Tipp - Clare probably won't have the cuteness of Antrim but they will have strength and brutal force which they had everyother year against us

We just need to develop a cuteness ourselves and hold the head letting them cash in black card style

If we cross those 3 or even win 2 draw 1 of those 3 it's a good bet to a final

Id like to see what London produce this year aswell as the rural recession outside Dublin deepens

just listened to Sean Hagan on shannonside he is a very good talker he said it was a good win but it still early and they still have alot to work on in training. other managers in the past would be happy too loose by a point or two and would talk up how good the team was. sean just said it was a good win there is allot of work too be done and we move on.

I think antrim and clare will be in the final, every year ye all think we will make a final, when have we actually made a div 4 final last or even came 3rd in the leauge, We are a good way of it yet but we seem to have improved a bit! I hope people dont take much from our win against galway because they are missing a few big names and its only January, people on here forget things very quickly, like the terrible year we had last year!!

Dont know why you are mentioning all these names of guys playing in college,no disrespect to any of them, but realistically only 3 of them are up to inter county senior championship(Moran,Wrynn and Wynn).
