No doubt leitrim success will drive clubs on to believe that they too can go on a run this year. A lot riding on the league this year. With the top 8 only playing div 1 in 2020 bottom 4 in div 1 and top 4 in div 2 playing div 2 in 2020 and the remainder in div 3. Prediction that this is the way the leagues will be in div 1 2020 in no particular order

Aughwillian
Mohil
Manor
SOH
Melvin Gaels
St Mary's
Fenagh
Gortletteragh

Div 2
Annaduff
Leitrim gaels
Allen Gaels
Aughnasheelin
Drumreilly
Drumkeerin
Carrigallen
Dromahair

Div 3
Kiltubrid
Bornacoola
Ballinaglera
Eslin
Aughvas
Glenfaren
Cloone

How many games in the league will be run off between now and the roscommon game? Surely 4 or 5 sure you can't beat games for preparation..

After the high of Croke Park it's back to the bread and butter this weekend. The new structures regarding league placing for 2020 should make sure teams take all games seriously and none of the nonsense of games been conceded like whats happened in previous years. In Division 1 I expect wins for Aughawillan, Mohill, Ballinamore, Melvin Gaels , Annaduff and Fenagh. In Division 2 I'd expect wins for Dromahair, Drumreilly, Eslin, Carrigallen , Ballinaglera and Drumkeeran.

Back to where it all began from the lads in croke park last week- the clubs.
As previous poster said the county board should run off as much games as possible before the rossies match if we had any sense as a county but we don't have any sense so it will just be 3/4 games played depending on how weather holds up.
Annaduff v the neds - the duff will be happy to be back amongst the big teams but I fancy the neds to sneak this one by a point or two
Leitrim Gaels v soh - if the Leitrim village lads spent as much time perfecting their skills as they do in the gym they could be a good team but they don't so the big men from the town off to a handy start.
Fenagh v gort - one team rising the other running out of oxygen.
Allen Gaels v the willies - you'd expect some impact from all the county lads just slotting straight into the willies team. Willies by 6
Mohill v Mary's - mohill by 5
Melvin Gaels v manor - manor won this tie easily each time they played last year so I can't see anything changing this time round. 5+
Hope eslin kick on and improve again this year they have some of the best footballers in leitrim

Some intresting results over the weekend. A lot of high scoring games in both div which is good too see. Makes for more entertaining games. Anyone at any games and if so can you give a little report on who played well and any new young lads playing

Annaduff gave Aughasheelin a bad beating at the weekend, must have been missing a few players? You'd have to say that Conor Cullen and Aaron Hoare are probably the best young midfield pairing in the County

Thanks father. Eslin are roaring in training and pushing hard for senior status. Confident we can do it

Was at the Aughawillian and Aughasheelin game while it was awful weather the standard of play was Junior D level. Aughasheelin had all the ball but where wasteful in first half 7pts to Aughawillian 1pt, second half Aughawillian improved but it wasn't pretty.

Were Aughawillan at full strength? Great win for Aughnasheelin all the same. Allen gaels and Gortletteragh struggling badly already . Think Manor will be ok, probably will make the top 8 and thats probably their aim for the league as they give one last push to win another championship.

Some big results this weekend. Shows that no team can be complacent. huge wins for annaduff and Aughnasheelin. Both teams would have been many people's favs to be in the bottom 4 at the end of the league. Onto div 2 anybody know why Carrigallen conceded there game this weekend. Huge win for ballinaglera they could be the surprise package come the championship

Eslin beat Carrigallen 4-4 to 1-11 it was up on the county website earlier as a walkover but a result is up now. Aughawillian hadn't Maguire in goals and Aughasheelin slaughtered them on there own kickout. Hoare and Cullen very impressive had the better of the game against Plunkett and Dolan. Dolan lucky to stay on the field in my opinion he reacted after been awarded the free early in second half

I see that this weekend's League games are the last before Leitrim play Roscommon I understand why that's the case, But with one week of April left its slightly annoying seeing as the whole month was supposed to be a club month

Disgrace if that's the case. We already lost round 1 of fixtures in division 1 with the league final.

Three weekends till the Roscommon game on Saturday. I think that's completely fair. Don't think anyone had a problem with a round being called off the weekend of the Final? We don't always have to give out about things....

Look its not perfect but a lot of other counties have a lot worse fixture list than ours. Especially when a lot of our players go away for the Summer. It's not perfect but could be a lot worse. The restructuring should also have a profound effect on the standards in the future.
