In what could yet be a dress rehearsal for the Munster MFC final, Kerry overcame Cork by 0-12 to 1-7 at Austin Stack Park last night.

This quarter-final was of little importance other than deciding next week's semi-final pairings. As a result of their win, Kerry will play Tipperary, while Cork will take on Clare. 

Danny Miskella grabbed the only goal from a penalty in the 20th minute, but Kerry still led by 0-7 to 1-2 at the break. The margin was still the same at full-time with nine different players contributing to the Kerry scoring.

In the Phase 1 final, Conor Burke posted 1-8 as Clare defeated Tipperary by 2-12 to 0-10 in Rathkeale to claim the Darrel Darcy Cup.

In Mullingar, meanwhile, Brían Cooney - son of former senior manager Jack - scored 3-3 as Westmeath withstood a late Longford fightback to win the Leinster U20FC Andrew Corden Cup final on a 3-9 to 2-11 scoreline.

Damien Gavin's side can now look forward to an All-Ireland series.
