A bunch of over officious tanks in the ulster council, defenders of the faith....meanwhile banned manager's blatantly flaunt the ban by coaching club teams" Its not a bad rule tbf.We can not expect you lads to play minor for their club,U20 for club and County,senior champioship for their club and train full time with a County set up and also have to study for exams.
The rules are there to protect players.Donegal made a mistake unintentionally and are getting a bit of a slap on the wrists.
No need for everyone to be over dramatic about it.

In my opinion Michael Langan is one of the top players in the Country if he can stay injury free, he is a phenomenal talent, tall, high fielder, electric pace, can kick off both feet. I would be trying him as inside forward at times if I was manager.

Donegal have an ambundance of talent, its just a case of bringing the team to the All Ireland contender level and giving them the spotlight for National media to realise this." If Donegal beat Derry in the championship it will not be because Donegal have the best players, it will be because McGuinnes prepared his team better than Mickey Harte.
I'd expect Jim to bring something new to Gaelic football that nobody else has done before but he way wait until next year before he plays that hand and use this season to get the conditioning, defensive setup and transitions etc etc all nailed down first."]I don't think Derry have a better or stronger squad of players, the bulk of their team are probably marginally ahead of us in terms of S&C development in the last year or two, so physically speaking they probably have an edge on our fringe or squad players, but despite this there isn't much between us at full strength.
The big problem is Donegal is that we couldn't settle on a back six in the last 6 or 7 years, unfortunately we have shortage of visionary managers who can adapt players for key roles, most coaches in Donegal seem to need ready made midfielders or centre half backs or corner backs etc. Whereas a great manager will adapt players to plug gaps, not just tell them "You're playing corner back on Sunday", but spend months developing them for that specific role."]We had the players but we didn't have the right manager, now we have Jim back we have reason to hope again,

whatever the ins and outs of it I think it's an awful shame what happened and that Karl is gone, by what Eamon McGee is saying Karl was doing great work and it's a just shame it has come to this." I agree ,I'd say theres a bit of fault on both sides that got blown out of proportion and ended up in a complee mess that will cost Donegal dear in the future.
What we got is a failure to communicate and resolve issues.

Many Fans are struggling to afford the basics due to inflation and going to matches isnt cheap
See London have free admission to home League Matches
But Ticket Prices are up 20% for us Patrons, which was a ****** move by Top Brass
Not great value
Just feathering the nest as usual
Now if stadiums were half decent, thats grand
But they are drab, toilets are flithy , poor food options etc
No better than an average club match in Donegal
Entry fees should be based on the facilities and quality of the Stadium
Amazing that the Gaa beat the inflation rate, ordinary fans shafted as always !!" We have 3 County grounds ,its just crazy.Do Ballybofey properly ,no offence to Ballyshannon but we should not be playing games there.Asking Inishowen supporters to go all the way down there is just crazy.Maybe 1 game to Letterkenny a season,thats it.
Overall though people are too hard on the GAA ,I dont really know why ,we are a small country and to have an organisation doing what the GAA does is amazing.

But there was more in Ballybofey for the McKenna Cup game against Armagh. We also had a healthy crowd at the Cork game in Ballybofey (no Cork support), and I thought we were well supported in Cavan as well. It appears that 3,000 is about our core support at the minute, which is disappointing, especially when you see both the Derry and Armagh bandwagons in full flow." Look using these 3 venues is holding back Donegal support,Ballybofey on a Saturday night/sunday afternoon is by far the best location.No offence to Ballyshannon but asking someone from Falcarragh or Carndonagh to go Ballyshannon to a home game is crazy.We should be trying to facilitate supporters not sicken them with crazy journeys.We should be trying to encourage the 2K or 3K supporters back out and make it easy on them.Everyone knows its nuts,the players don't want it I just don't understand why someone doesn't speak up about it.
