Replying To macca999:  "Some great posts and views here, great to have open debate and opinions, which all valued and respected equally whether agree or not. Bailah, there is no doubt that promotion from Division 3 was an overachievement for the squad, the victories against Down and Antrim were blessed, Westmeath probably best performance but even then gave them a glimmer(Westmeath have shown better form in Championship than league since). Id agree that if Fermanagh were in Division 3 next year wouldnt expect promotion. Donnelly definitely will stay on for next season and will want to somehow try keep us in Division 2, certainly suggest though that changes to backroom team to try help fix issues of this year, defensively. Looking ahead Division 2 is going to be a huge challenge, Donegal, Meath and Kildare will all be stronger in 2024, need to get players like James McMahon, Tiarnan Bogue and Conor Love on the panel again. With way games have gone since league maybe try bring few games to Ederney too:-) Definitely need to keep Jones and Quigley involved, hopefully playing in Division 2 might help motivate them incase having farewell thoughts. Didnt hear that Coa Gael, though given the performance i wouldnt be surprised if got a bit heated in dressing room after as was a shocking display and very frustrating. If true pity some of the players didnt show this spirit during the game, if had might not have lost as badly, Laois looked hungrier which isnt acceptable. Was passage of play second half were Che Cullen committed 4 times to win a break ball which showed huge hunger and desire drawing biggest cheer of the game, if only others had this attitude. Good post Kesh GFC, agree that the positivity of the league is long gone now but was a great achievement and i would pick promotion still over reaching a Tailteann Cup semi final. On Saturday Fermanagh kicked some poor wides and could quickly see the heads dropping, huge expectancy on few players to get the scores and when they had off days nobody else to step up. McGurns loss was felt as meant Quigley couldnt be used as impact from the bench as in league. Management speaking highly of players but that doesnt mean all is what says and interesting question attitude Kesh GFC and always feel free to share in detail, nobody here has right to pick apart or judge. Alot time to reflect and review what went wrong since league, a season that promised so much in spring has delivered so little in summer"
I don't how you have the brass neck to congratulate Kesh GFC on his scandalous and derogatory comments about the players never mind his attack on the manager. How could such an outburst from the Kesh poster do anything to harmonise or bond a team when he picks out individuals from west of Lower Lough Erne and north Fermanagh as having attitudes? That poster should be ashamed to put his head above the parapet after trying to make a laugh of Antrim and the outcry thereafter about it. If this is the same poster, reported to be a walk-away manager, then many have little respect for him anyway. As for yourself macca, your input too over the seasons hasn't done anything to encourage the players with your criticism and indeed specific attacks on the goalkeeping. These players are only human and I know read these comments which no doubt unsettling to them. I think it's time for hands of both the team and manager and allow things to settle down.

Replying To ERNEDEVIL:  "I am happy with the draw, better to leave with a point than nothing especially away from home. Game could have went either way both teams had a chance to win the game at the end. We were the better team in the 1st half, should have been more ahead at ht but free taking was an issue. The goal was well worked and probably the only time we moved the ball quick and direct. The Sub of mccusker back fired, he was involved in the goal and was winning a lot of dirty ball in mid. Kelm had a goal chance saved. Our defence was very good and we turned meath over numerous times. However meath had 3 goal chances which they should have scored if it was not for some bad decision making on their part and good recovery from are defence. Don't know what Joe did to get a black card. Both teams looked recked by the end, if the game went on any longer think we would have lost. I am defo old school but hate seeing keepers running out the field, taking frees and 45s. Overall very pleased with the result and pleased with how the team played. Man of match for me was che but other good performers In Lee, mcgee, cassidy and mccusker. The result has left me more optimistic for the rest of the league and hopefully we can get a win next week against kildare. Need to make home advantage count. How many points do you reckon we need to be safe? I think 5, 4 could do it but will come down to score difference."
More or less the same as Barney's post except your take on the goalkeeper who is my man of the match. The Teemore lad has to be credited for coming out field to support his teammates. That thwarted Meath somewhat. You need to back to GAA school again and learn the present day game mate!
