Donegal have been dealt a serious blow ahead of this weekend’s Super 8s clash against Kerry with the news that Eoghan Ban Gallagher suffered a serious leg injury in training last night.

The full extent of the Killybegs defender’s injury has yet to be confirmed by Donegal officials but, according to a report from Highland Radio, he is set to be sidelined for a lengthy period of time.

Gallagher was one of the Tir Chonaill men’s key players in their successful defence of the Anglo-Celt Cup last month and is set to be a massive loss to manager Declan Bonner.

It is understood that Ardara clubman Paddy McGrath is also in doubt for Sunday’s showdown with the Kingdom at Croke Park after picking up an injury in the warm up prior to last weekend’s win over Meath in Ballybofey.
