Former All-Ireland hurling referee Brian Gavin has expressed his dislike for Saturday afternoon senior inter-county matches.
Two Joe McDonagh Cup games have been fixed for 3pm today, including the local derby clash between Westmeath and Offaly in Mullingar, and the Clara clubman claims there is no consideration given to people who work on Saturdays and therefore cannot attend.
TweetI just don't understand why senior inter county games take place at 3pm of a Saturday a lot of people work on Saturday's last week game was at 7pm hence the huge crowd + just the €10 admission.
