Cathal Heneghan could be in hot water with disciplinary chiefs after a controversial incident during Roscommon’s Allianz Football League Division 1 defeat to Kerry last Sunday.

The Roscommon substitute faces a two-match retrospective ban, which would rule him out of his side's do-or-die Allianz League clash with Derry next Sunday and next month's Connacht SFC semi-final against either Mayo or New York.

The incident, which was captured by TV cameras, showed Heneghan appearing to stand on the Kerry full back Jason Foley's right leg after he scored a 54th minute goal. Foley played on for a few moments afterwards before being replaced by Armin Heinrich.

It remains to be seen if the CCCC takes any action on receipt of referee Noel Mooney’s report.
