I left out Mullahoran as well .
The pitch was very heavy the other evening and yes Killyshandra looked tired. It's now down to management making sure they don't peak too early. When the draw is made one will have a fair idea who the finalists will be for sure for as I said its coming to the business end. Don't be surprised if Arva Cornafeine and Killyshandra are all there on the big day in each division picking up the cups.

Apart from Cavan Gaels who are ahead of anyone else, there isn't a lot between the other teams. Be interesting if Kingscourt beat them, because it will leave it wide open.
I see Killygarry are 3/1 with paddypower great odds, because I feel killygarry have better players, the only problem is they aren't physical enough and Mullahoran could turn the game into a physical encounter. However with them odds I will throw a €10 on killygarry

Killygary v Mullahorn: Killygary have put up big scores & conceding a lot also against Cootehill. So it is hard to know where they are at. Mullahorn with their usual 1-10 always do enough to win games & will bring Killygary into a dog fight. Mullahorn with the experience & gunner causing havoc to prevail.
Gaels V Kingscourt: Should be a formality, gaels better players, young, loads of county experience, motoring well in their two games thus far, high profile manager etc. List goes on. Kingscourt, beaten twice, 6 or 7 games played, stuttering it seems, must have picked up some knocks/injuries along the way. How fit is seanie/chesty ? Gaels by 4
Killeshandra - have not seen them this year
Castlerahan - hot & cold. Bet by Killehandra. Played well v a Ramor team flattering to deceive the last 5 years. Castlerahan will go close if they can bring their A game on the big day.
Depends on semi final pairings then.
Gaels to lose

Gaels obviously favourites. Bookies seldom wrong and they are an unbackable price unless you bet big. Castlerahan second favourites with bookies but David Wright too big a loss.

Howavan Gaels have not performed in Ulster is beyond me. They have enough talent to be getting to the ulster final regularly and to have won it a few times. Maybe this will be the year.

I hope you all completed the survey put out by the county board regarding club fixtures.

Here's the link for anyone that missed it.

Now you will see why I left out Mullahoran??

I am sticking to my guns and I am doing fine so far, 2 out of three so far in their respective finals now Killyshandra. I bet you Castlerahan will be weary of them as well. The unbeatable s are gone and I for one am not a bit surprised, I saw them play one match here in the park and they did not impress. Poor keeper and chesty a huge loss hard to replace him best center half for years in the county and I feel would have fit in well in any county team in the country, once your spine is weak broken you are in trouble. I am forever saying it without a back bone you have nothing to build from at any level.

Appears all those factors don't make you a good team after all. My bad. I love it when i'm wrong tho

The problem when you wear blinkers you don't see the wider picture. I like to think that I give a fair analysis of what I see overall and for this reason alone I think I am fair and unbiassed. The gaels are a shadow of their former selves as are Mullahoran, Castlerahan are long over due a senior title but time is running out for them for they have only a couple of years with Flannagan and Mackey. Not sure Killygarry have the killer touch but they have a man with the midas touch who won a senior title with Ballinagh. So we have Niall Lynch and Brady with a senior title we have Stephen King with an intermediate title. Having watched all it would seem there will be only a kick of a ball between them. What this years senior final will be however we will get an open game and hopefully a cracking final and a bumper support I am looking forward to it. Best of luck to all involved.

The Gaels did not deserve to win v Kingscourt.they have not being playing well all year and are also on the verge of relegation.they tried to change a winning team from last year including a backroom team and management and it has back fired on them.it was a disgrace to see the carry on of one of their high ranking officers after the game saturday nightthere is no room in todays game for attacking a referee.kingscourt will go on and win championship now.

Can't believe there has been no mention for the late antics of the ref in the Kingscourt Cavan Gaels game , Kingscourt where handed 3 very soft scoreable frees late to win the game and without these the game would have ended in a draw and Gaels would live to fight another day after a poor showing...Harsh but they should know top gear is needed at the buisness end or you get caught and they found that out saturday!!..

Castlerahon should fancy there chances now taking any of the rest of the competition left...

Every team will fancy their chances now. All teams receive dodgy/soft free's. Somebody is always to blame according to the losing team. Only way to ensure victory is to have a greater score tally than your opponent & then the ref won't become a factor.

The gaels kicked 9 wides in the second half some very bad ones at that. They had an extra man for the last 15 mins but they still could not make it count. It was all the ref' fault for this however! Both teams got handy frees, at this level all you need is a good free taker as the amount of fouls committed are immense as players at this level can't tackle properly, Kingscourt had a good free taker the gales did not. If the gaels had scored their frees they would have won. Again this is the ref's fault!

Gaels, blame the ref? hardly seeing as the ref originally down for the game was replaced!!!!
Anyways as it was, Kingscourt were more efficient than the Gaels with the chances they got and thats why they won.

I posted this after 1 st round . I see Dillon back for Kingscourt & few other players they ve strengthened things up! I ve got them wrong but im on the money with the rest

If the Geals are bet it will be very hard to call , killeshandra very impressive outfit, Ramor best all round squad yet seem to be missing a midfielder or something , Lacken very strong side , mullahorn no not for me, Ballinagh too many injuries to Key players , Killygarry alwaz have 5/6 nice club footballers lack a few old dogs, Castlerahan they don t even know their best team. Kingscourt no good,

Its Castlerahans to lose.. They ve the name for bottling in the past but Mackey & Flanagan should carry them.. I think Killygarry will be their opponents ..
