I thought the Div 3 Final defeat was the wake-up call??
Cavan lacked guts, motivation and determination on Sunday and that is down to Terry & Co. as much as themselves.
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail comes to mind. They need to select the best players and send them out prepared to fight and win.

Fantastic insight here.. Blame the management. Jesus why didn't we think of that for all those years we spent in the doldrums!! I agree about getting the best players out there, we all know there's at least a dozen Colm Cooperesque players in Cavan that Terry won't invite into the panel for fear it would interfere with his objective of ruining Cavan football.

It's obvious that Terry must now go after losing this game I think we can all agree on that. What we need is a manager from outside the county, someone with a good attacking philosophy that will throw off the shackles and let the team shoot the lights out like we all know they are capable of doing, someone like Tommy Carr would be ideal.

I think its advantage westmeath now ,we dont know where were going at the min ,heard nothing more on dunne ,we dont know how many more players are even going to be allowed to play ,depending on what the ccc will do ,it will probably be like the old times play 2 and loose 2 and were watching everybody else ,and if we think back to the league yes we got promoted but game after game er were slipping ,somethings up .

Jonsmith,

You're a mad thing altogether.

Do you think the management are blameless?
AND nobody called for their heads, just that they do their job properly. They were a disgrace.

Management were a disgrace? Explain that. Back that up with something tangible.

Teams lose, it happens. They play badly, it happens. There isn't always the need to point the finger of blame.

The way management have Cavan playing is a disgrace.... It is not even close to football and how they expect people to pay their hard earned money to go to see this drivel is beyond me. I am not sure that Terry is totally to blame though...the CB are paying some guy from Tyrone that has all our County teams playing this defensive style and he should be got rid of as soon as possible before he ruins too many lof our good young players...and puts everybody from going to games...!!!!

Jonsmith,

Read the post from Brownred on the Armagh v Cavan thread. He says everything I would have said. No pace, players playing out of position, wrong selections etc etc.
