I will just pick one sentence if you can get a replay of the incidence you will see someone was there arguing talking or remonstrating with the referee "whatever" any time that was going to be added was lost there and then.
I think it would be a lot better to accept the result and move on. The result will not change the carry on after the match will not change peoples opinions will not change so the best way to redress this issue is go on and win it the all Ireland next year.

I don't get your point Sean. You need to articulate it better. 2 minutes was held up. That was short enough as it was. A Dublin player lay on the ground for at least 40 seconds of the two minutes. Why was this time not added? I guarantee if Dublin were a point behind and not Cavan it would have been played.

We have to accept the result but still need to talk up so that this doesn't happen again. We could easily find ourselves up against the Dubs at some stage at senior level. The amount of 50/50 decisions that went their way was disgraceful and shows what camp the referee was rooting for.

We can talk until the cows come home but it will not change. You saw the match, decisions for both teams at times were questionable and my opinion for what its worth I feel both referees did a good job.
You can please some of the people all of the time all of the people some of the time but not all the people all of the time Abraham Lincoln

You were on here complaining about Terry and his selectors and background team the week before the match so of course it would suit you Sean to say the ref had a good game. It's been widely accepted by a number in the media that he didn't. You'd be afraid to give some of our management team some credit though. Think of the players. Some of those lads will never play inter county again sadly.

Ciaran Brady was barying down on goal and took the point maybe that could have been passed to Tom Hayes

I think he did go for goal, the dublin keeper made a great save to push it over the bar, that's what I remember anyway.

also lads, will you please stop saying how we were hard done by, we weren't. We lost. we all feel angry and dissappointed but accept it.
Dillon could have been black-carded in the first half for a blatant body check that felled his marker. He is prone to do things like that and needs to cut it out of his game. A harsh lesson but one I feel he will have learned from.
regarding Paul Fitzpatrick's article. If Gerry Smith was afraid to shoot for a point in that situation then how come he wasn't afraid to shoot from alot further out earlier in the game (it dropped short.) I think he was caught in two minds and ended up running out of space. Gerry is a player who I expect to see in a senior jersey in the future.

What has Mr Hyland and his back room team got to do with the U21 team also will you like a good man without turning this topic into pokes at Sean so where I have made pokes at Mr Hyland ???

I have not taken any swipe at players or management of the U21 set up, the U21 lads and management worked very hard all year and off course its disappointing on the lads who have missed out once again like thousands before them but most if not all of them have got Ulster U21 and even a Minor medal in their back pocket theres not many can say that around the county. I am not talking about colleges or schools just the county teams.
The match is over I believe the referee did a good job he is human after all.
Just one thing forget about who should have or should have not got a black card. Cavan like Cork had their chances but did not take them from start to finish. Its as simple as that.

Re Sgoldrick, he did go for goal alright, he was under pressure.high shot that the keeper tipped over, Hayes was free in the corner. But Dublin had goal chances too so no complaints

I said to all my friends it is time to move on and lets face it "there are much bigger fish to fry"
Yes so many people were bitterly dissapointed and even broken hearted but that is a reflection on how Cavan people view gaelic football. Its part of our soul!!!
But Seanorinn please dont come up with a curt remark like "the ref did a good job" All true GAA fans know that the problem was inconsistency. Read Michael Hannon's article in the Celt and you will understand what we mean.Everyone knows there are good Refs and bad Refs.!!
Now lets look forward to the Rossies in Croke Park on Saturday. Another big day for CAVAN people.

With respect M Hannon writes what you want to read I often wonder what matches these reporters are at to honest with you. I still think he did a fair job but like everyone else it's just my opinion at the end of the day. At least tomorrow night it will be about the Division 3 final

Who's the referee tomorrow?
Hopefully a competent one for a change but they're few and far between.

That ref couldnt even play the correct amount of injury Time yet Sean chooses to say that he was right. I wonder sometimes are you on the wind up Sean.

Nice to see you back I missed your attacks on me. I would say I am a better supporter of Cavan football than a lot of you. I pay my Club Breifni membership and if you think that I would do that to watch a team loose your are delusional. I like to watch as many matches as I can but not always easy when other groups jump into the park when the seniors ect are playing else where its the nature of my work.
I spoke with Peter Reilly just over an hour ago he thankfully has got over it and is thinking positive for the future thats all that matters. Forget about it for no matter what you write it will not change the result take it and move on its how I alway's have done it.

I have moved on. I was just pointing out that you spend a lot of time writing illogical rubbish on here. Ref didn't add on right amount of time, that's a fact. If he can't even manage that how can you describe him as having done a good job?
