What would a tipp man know about football , he decided that outcome on his own , what a brutal oppointment to put in charge of a big game , should of been a high profile ref which he will never be !

Don't believe in threatening ref at end of the game even if his last decision was very dubious to say the least.

Robbed by the ref. Disgraceful stiff from him.

I try to be as neutral as possible and compare the number of wides both teams had and as I am a Cork man I could say the same thing but be honest the better teams won and as Roscommon were favorites I can see why lots of character in that team. Dublin looked good going forward and they too showed a lot of character. Be gracious in defeat accept the result and when we win 5 in a row maybe Cork and Cavan will meet in next years all Ireland final now that would be nice.

To oddball

Clear of to your own forum.
Nobody is interested in your opinion.
I'm sure you would have something to say if your county lost in that manner.
I was going to cheer for you in final.
Don't think I'll bother now.

@bisto kid

Strange comment asking what a tipperary man would know about football, after seeing that today there certainly wasnt much football being played by yourselves. Horrible game to watch, poor shooting, decision making and passing on the rare occasion it wasnt a hand pass. Carry on by SOME of your supporters, management and players at the end was nothing short of a disgrace.

Was a good display from Cavan but the better side won, Dublin created a lot more chances and Farrelly made a super save in the first half. Very dissapoiting to lose but thats football

No need to trash all of Tipperary football just because that imbecile referee is from there.

Should Conor Moynagh have been re-introduced???

Very hard it lose the match so narrowly.
Thought we were not good enough in the forwards division and we didn't have enough players willing to take a shot. So many times we lost possession in the half forward line.
Thought that the ref bottled giving Mc Hugh a black card because threre was a large cohort of the Dublin back room team alongside him.
Thought he blew it up too soon Cavan were on possession and he should have given us the opportunity to make one last play.
Thought management should have introduced more fresh legs earlier as we were looking tired.
Thought the scenes at the end were nothing for Cavan people to be proud of but in the heat of the moment people were understandably at high doh.
I think Roscommon were the best of the 4 teams today and played a nice style of football . I hope they win it out.

disappointing to lose such a tight affair. Whole team were fantastic at defending and carrying the ball out of danger but the lack of a target man/marquee forward really showed, i thought.

Guys, oddball is a total embarassment to us and take plenty of no notice of him. Genuinely sorry for ye today and would have loved to be playing ye in the final. Cant condone what happened at the end but not pretty to get beaten like that and be hit with a wave of negativity afterwards. Was surrounded by really sound Cavan supporters.
Keep the heads up, the weight of 4 good u-21 teams in succession is bound to impact on the Seniors in the near future. See ye on Saturday night.

Watched the game from the USA and it was my first time seeing the under 21s play all year. A few comments on the performance and scenes afterwarfs.....

1. Cavan played their hearts out. they were out on their feet for the last ten minutes. unfortunately they just didn't have anything left to react to Dublin's late surge.

2. Better team won. Dublin engineered the majority of the chances and kicked a massive amount of wides, 50% of which were very scorable. they should really have been out of sight with 20 to go.

3. we just lacked a little class up front. Hayes battled unreal hard (for a kid) and Dillon did well when he got good ball (he lacks some pace). they made some really intelligent runs but had little support if Dublin got men back, which they did more and more as the game went on. do we see any of the 6 or 7 forwards making it into the senior team and being a scoring threat...? In my opinion I don't see it.

4. Dublin wised up. they were just bombing forward in the first half leaving loads of space at the back. When cavan broke out with pace hayes and Dillon had half a field to run into. second half Dublin made sure they had a least 2 men extra at the back to cover space at all times.

5. referee was bad in giving that crazy last free for Dublin. the guy took his shot and it went wide. it was a tough call to bring him back to give them another shot. but the really hard one to take was only playing 2 extra minutes. Dublin made subs and lay down after a few frees. 3 minutes should have been the minimum extra time played. but was the ref the losing/winning of the game? not in my opinion...

6. Lowndes is going to be a super star. the guy seemingly broke records went he did a bleep test at the AFL European combine and you could see it. the guy never stopped running and he single handily keep Dublin moving forward in the last 20 minutes. should have been Man of the Match. he is going to have a big career.

7. Ask yourself... who would have been more likely to win if they played another 20 minutes? Dublin were the stronger side and didn't really figure out how to beat cavan's system until into the second half. Cavan did not look like scoring for the last 15.....

8. Moynagh, Gerry smith, buchannon, Ciaran brady (lightning fast!!!), paul graham all should be looking to push into the senior reckoning....

I was at the game and I've just watched those last 5 minutes on video. I think the anger of the crowd was more for the fact that Costello hopped the ball twice and got away with it because it tipped his toe but I don't think you can take it back in hand when you hop it twice, toe or not. Have a look anyone that has a chance and see what you think. The free was questioned by the TG4 commentators but that happens in football and the ref just played advantage and then called it back. If we had got that free who knows what might have happened?

Leave Tipperary alone; they beat that Dublin team to win the minor All-Ireland 3 years ago so they know lots about football. Congratulations to Dublin. As a travelling supporter I'm gutted for our lads but they gave it everything they had. We were completely outmuscled in the forward line physically and still hung in there to the end. We owe the players of the last 4 years a huge amount of thanks for their courage and discipline and they've done more for Cavan football than we ever thought they would. They've brought back respect for the Blue Jersey and that was something that was badly needed.

poor decisions on the line lost the game. cavan should have went mam for man in second half as dublin are a poor side.
not enough fresh legs brought on in forward line. and to bring moynagh back on was stupid.
there was a panel of 25 players or so use them.
ref was poor but management lost this game.

A fantastic performance by the team yesterday. Unlike last year's semi final they left nothing behind them on the field of play. They played with belief in their system from start to finish and the lead from an early stage.

If it was ment to happen then we would have had a fit Moynagh, Dillon, Madden ond Sankey on the field of play during the final minutes of the game.
