Tomos core, James McEnroe, Rory dunne. blueman1903 (Cavan) - 22/12/2017 08:37:36 2 Tomas is 33 years old and and did indicate to me that he might call it a day but my gut tells me the heart will be back. James McEnroe has an injury so I would expect him back in training in six to eight weeks depending on his recovery. In fairness to Rory ever since the London game he has been struggling but like James I would expect him back in. Tell me the previous poster why bring in Jason O'Reilly he hardly wants to come into the set up at this stage. If Jason is wise he should work with the Gaels try and win an Ulster title maybe an All Ireland then he would be getting involved with players that he would not have played with or against. Shocking quiet on all things Cavan football lately, proof that the enthusiasm we supporters once had has well and truly evaporated. Cavan_Shambles (Cavan) - Posts: 575 - 02/01/2018 12:40:39 2066476 Link 0 |

I very much doubt it Sean O Rinn. I recall seeing an article from 2011 (I tried in vain to find it, if I could I'd post a link) in which the Co.Board outlined their ambition to win an Ulster provincial title by 2017. Of course, 2011 was the first of the 4 Ulster titles we won at u21 level, so their optimism was warranted I guess. Well, look at us now, we didn't even make the final. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Football in this county is in a seriously dysfunctional state. Cavan_Shambles (Cavan) - Posts: 575 - 02/01/2018 16:30:46 2066501 Link 0 |
Well the Saviour of Cavan football was in charge for 5/6 of those years. But we can't blame him because that's not allowed by the TH diehards!! Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 02/01/2018 17:59:14 2066511 Link 0 |

There was some degree of consistency in terms of personnel playing for Cavan when he was there, look at the state of things now, nobody knows who is on the panel. I suspect another massive turnover of players just like the pre-Hyland days. Cavan_Shambles (Cavan) - Posts: 575 - 02/01/2018 18:19:20 2066513 Link 0 |
Lads what's happening at the moment with Cavan is shocking. Killykeen Forest training sessions for example had to be seen to be believed. Tip of iceberg stuff. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 02/01/2018 19:46:27 2066521 Link 0 |

I don't want to take from the lads achievements of making the panel and i know there is players yet to come back but the negativity and the sense of hopelessness towards the cavan panel now is scary. i was one of the people who thought back in 2013 that cavan were seriously going places and still had more good players to come in. where are they now? why have so many dropped off? why is there such a lack of interest? theweanling (Cavan) - Posts: 414 - 03/01/2018 10:39:28 2066579 Link 0 |

Sean Have you a view on the new guys on the team? kildare blue (Cavan) - 03/01/2018 10:01:30 2066571 Oh I have a view for sure but I will keep it to myself. I did say after Wednesday nIght there would be plenty posts but they have started all ready as you have seen the team has been posted. The Gaels are not available until after the McKenna Cup if thats any help to you. I was talking to one of them Friday and thats what he said true or not. The main pitch is unplayable tonight as you would have guessed due to the amount of rain sleet and show along with gail force winds. Hyland went through 4 winning u21 side which was the guts of 100 players in 5 years. Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 03/01/2018 13:37:00 2066604 Link 0 |
