In the last three league matches for Maghera Seniors, something has changed and this has been spoken about at Junior level in Cavan.

The club has built a young fresh senior team for the future and some of the older stewards have retired. The new group of players took some time to start understanding how to play the rough and tumble of Junior league football in Cavan. New Management of Michael McBride and Paddy Tobin has assembled a youthful team and with the recent addition of former player Brian Duffy to the management, structures really have started to develop and the gap in score lines close.

The Maghera team have a solid system to work on and they are making their fellow junior teams know they are here to stay. The Killeshandra match was a lighting flash 10-28 to 1-7, Maghera had to change. Ten goals conceded in one game to Killeshandra, has now changed to only one goal conceded in their last three matches. Duffy is sorting out the defense and the Maghera troops are responding. Maghera players are now a team that will make you work for a victory against them.
