I know MDM struck a Portlaoise player Whelen in the Leinster Club Final and got away with it. Broke his jaw.

Clare Tipperary Clare - 2 Like(s)

Replying To KY4SAM2015:  "Ah sure it's a fair system well done Kerry. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts:7666 - 23/07/2016 18:39:40 'Well done Kerry'??? What has Tipp and Clare getting to the last 8 got anything to do with us? Tipp and Clare have beaten the likes of Cork, Roscommon, Sligo, Laois and Derry to get this far. Some decent teams they have had to beat and totally deserve to be where they are. Complete lack of respect for these teams. Hilarious especially a dub complaining about the system as ye have every advantage available. Its a pity we are playing Clare as if we do win we will take little pleasure in knocking them out but thats the way the draw has fallen this year, we would much rather be playing a team from another province but thats down to the likes of Roscommon and Derry..nothing to do with us."
I myself have complete respect for Tipperary and Clare. I've misgivings about the qualifier system. If teams draw the replay is usually the week after. Doesn't leave them much time to recover. Why don't they have extra time? Roscommon Laois and Monaghan lost after a replay the weekend before. Why did Derry have 3 games in 3 weekends?

Leinster Inter County GAA in a coma - 2 Like(s)
In Leinster the horse has bolted regarding Dublin. Referees back in the day would favour Dublin, now they don't have to as they're so far ahead of everybody else.

Kerry coming in under the radar? - 1 Like(s)

Replying To KingdomBoy1:  "We'll be the only team going into a semifinal without a test so that has to be a hindrance, now ease off the fosters mate and throw another shrimp on the barby ;-)"
Will do ☺

The strongest GAA province? - 1 Like(s)

Replying To Cavan_Slasher:  "My point was that you played less games than any other county in Ulster or Leinster. You also got more rest and time to prepare. Not your fault but still not an even competition."
Teams that get to a Ulster final aren't afforded any rest time. Also I can't understand why Derry had to play the last 3 weekends against Tipp Cavan and Meath. All tough teams to beat. They're treated as an after thought.

6 day turnaround - 1 Like(s)
I've looked through the upcoming fixtures, what teams have a 6 day turnaround? I don't think any teams last year won with the 6 day turnaround. The only circumstance where it is acceptable is if its the same for both teams i.e both teams have a 6 day turnaround.

Laois Football's Big Handicap - 1 Like(s)

Replying To BliainanÁir:  "The 1986 Laois winning team, I want to run through it as a poster said there were 5 Carlow players on it, which is incorrect. 1. Martin Conroy Ballyroan 2. Pat Dunne Ballyroan 3. Martin Dempsey St. Joseph's 4. Eddie Kelly O'Dempseys 5. Mick Ahearne O'Dempseys 6. Pat Brophy Emo 7. Colm Browne Portlaoise 8. Liam Irwin Ballyroan 9. John Costello O'Dempseys 10. Gerry Browne Portlaoise 11. Willie Brennan Graigue 12. Tom Prendergast Portlaoise 13. Mick Dempsey St. Joseph's 14. Eamonn Whelan Portlaoise 15. Christy Maguire Graigue 16. Noel Prendergast Portlaoise 17. Ger Lawlor Emo 18. Brian Nerney O'Dempseys 19. John Ramsbottom Timahoe Now this is a factual panel from the league final v Monaghan 4th May 1986. There aren't 5 Carlow players. There aren't any. There are 2 Graiguecullen players. A Laois football club."
I think Matt Connor was born in Portarlington Hospital in Laois

AI Football Quarter-finals - 1 Like(s)
By getting rid of the league play-offs the provincials could be played earlier. All teams could enter the qualifiers at the same stage. The Euros have 24 teams playing from June 10 to July 10, surely the GAA can come up with a better system.

I'd love to see another team from Dublin. It would be a great experiment for the league. In Queensland here they have City v Country matches. Dublin could be Dublin City v County.

Well done Clare and Tipp - 1 Like(s)

Replying To Killarney.87:  "Sorry if I offended Crikey. I got a bit annoyed with the Dubs turning Tipp and Clare's wins into a Kerry vs Dublin thing. The thread is about Tipp and Clare so they could at least have commended us on a great achievement here and set up a different thread to vent at Kerry."
No offence taken ☺. Best of luck to Tipp.

Replying To witnof:  "I won't be sending anyone down there. The series has become a joke and the Aussies treat it as a joke."
Just off the top but wouldn't it be better to play the Railway Cup Final in Oz or the USA . Great reward for the players especially players from weaker counties

Dublin v Laois - 1 Like(s)

Replying To CroiGorm:  "Love how the half empty ground is down to the Dubs supposedly not travelling, nothing to do with Laois only bringing about 600?! A quick stroll down Kilkenny town would show you just how many Dubs made the trip."
Dublin were once pandered to by referees.. just look at the last 5 mins of the 2005 Leinster final where they given a first cousin of a free to level the match. Now they can't be beaten.
