Coughlan relieved to come out of Division 4

April 11, 2014

Flashback to the 2009 Munster SFC semi final with Clare's Enda Coughlan and Seanie Buckley of Limerick
Enda Coughlan says promotion from Division 4 is a relief for everyone concerned with the Clare football team after narrowly missing out in 2010, 2012 and 2013.

"This is probably one of the few years that we have the best footballers in Clare playing for Clare," the long-serving star noted in the Clare Champion.

"It's great to see what it brings when you put everyone together. I think it's a feeling of relief of getting out of Division 4 more than anything else. It's been a long few years for a number of lads and it's nice to eventually get out of there and be up in Croke Park."

Clare can now look forward to a Division 4 final showdown with Tipperary in Croke Park on April 26, and Coughlan added: "It's nice to be out of Division 4 next year and to be going to different places and not playing the same teams. We're also looking forward to three weeks' time."
