Cavan Masters ..Hard luck to Art McSeain and Brian Doyle who were members of the Cavan Over 40's football panel who were narrowly defeated by a strong Mayo team in the replayed All Ireland Final which took place in Ballinagh in front of a very large attendance last Saturday evening.

 

Junior Scor Quiz Team - Congratulations to the Cornafean Scor na nOg Quiz team who won the County Table Quiz Final and now go forward to represent their Club and County in the All Ireland Final to be held in Belfast next February.  Well done to David Cosgrove, Emmett Martin, Peter Doyle and William McGibney.

 

Junior Scor Ballad Group Winners - Best of luck to the Cornafean Junior Scor Ballad Group who will represent their Club and County in the Ulster Semi Final to be held this Sunday 11th in Swatragh, Co. Derry at 3 p.m.   Good luck to Anna Tully and Deirbhile, Brianna and Niamh McCaffrey.

Cornafean Dog Show 2016 - Congratulations and well done to Peadar MacSeain and his team who recently handed over a cheque of €2,200 to GORTA Self Help Africa proceeds of their Annual Field Day and Dog Show held recently. Peadar MacSeain wishes to thank all those who helped him make his dog show such a success.  Thanks to those who gave prizes, vouchers and hampers, and those who bought tickets.  To Bill our Judge for kindly coming every year, Cornafean GAA for the use of their grounds and facilities, Mary Harwood for amplification, Bernard and Brendan for thier valued support and the ladies who served teas etc.
