Laragh United Club Notes

U6s

U6 training continues on Saturday mornings at 10am until 11am. New children always welcome. 
 
U8s
Our U8s took part in the Killygarry tournament on last Saturday and having played well were beaten in the final by Butlersbridge. The squad put in a great effort and enjoyed the day. Thanks to Killygarry for a great day.
 
U10s
Our U10s welcomed Castlerahan to Stradone on Saturday last and both teams played well in an enjoyable game. The Kadona Tournament takes place this Saturday in Stradone. 
 
U12s
Our U12s took part in the Bailieborough tournament on Saturday last and reached the shield final only to be beaten by Shercock. The lads enjoyed the experience even in the rain and would like to thank the hosts for the hospitably and a well run tournament. 
 
U13s
Our U13s are due to start their campaign on Saturday next in Duke Park when their welcome Denn. Times will be confirmed on Facebook and twitter,  
 
 
U14s
Our u14s play their championship semi on Thursday evening on the 3g.  Updates will be on Facebook and Twitter. Please support these lads on the night.
 
Minor
Our minors were defeated on Sunday last by a strong Annalee Gaels (Ballyhaise,Drung and Kill) team in the semi final of the minor B championship. In what was a good hard game the lads give everything and played to the end. Full time score Annalee Gaels 2-15 Laragh 2-11. The club would like to thank these players for all of they hard work and the way that they have represented the club this year. Also thanks to Bernard, Eugene and Colin for their time and efforts.
 
Camogie
Our u16s had a good win over Bailieborough last Saturday in Stradone. The girls worked hard and got the result. Full time score Laragh 5-13 Bailieborough 3-05.
Our minors have reached the final of the championship and it is pencil in for this weekend. Please keep an eye on facebook and twitter for confirmation of where and when. Please show your support to the girls.
 
Referee's
Well done to Maggie Farrelly who  took charge of the Junior championship final last Sunday in Kingspan Breffni Park. Also to Brian Sheils who was  the 4th official for the Minor C championship final. Brian also umpired for the Senior Hurling Final. Well done to both.
 
Quiz Night
The club are holding a fundraising table quiz for our minor camogie and football teams in the Cross on Friday night. Table of 4 is €40. Starts shape at 9.30pm.Your support would be much appreciated.
 
Kadona Tournament. 
The Kadona tournament takes place this Saturday morning in PJ Duke Park Stradone. This is always a great occasion for our club and has beenrunning for many years. So why not come along and see the stars of the future!
 
Ulster GAA Student Bursary 
Applications are now being accepted for the Ulster GAA student bursary intiative 2016/2017. The intiative is targeted at students in full time education. Closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Friday the 7th of October. To find out more go to the Ulster GAA website.

Outdoor fitness class
Outdoor fitness class with Sylvia Sexton fitness instructor and nutrition and health coach on Monday's and Wednesday's at 7pm in Duke park Stradone. Torch fat and tone up fast with a cardio and body weight exercise program. Suitable for all fitness levels from total beginner to fitness fanatic.
