DENN GFC LEGENDS DAY - SUPER SATURDAY
Sponsored by CARA Pharmacy and Carraig Springs, Crosskeys with all proceeds being shared by SOSAD and Mens Cancer Alliance this year's LEGENDS event is being centred on Mens Health Awareness Week with the focus being to heighten Men's awareness of their health especially amongst players who are no longer active at the highest level.
Finals day is this Saturday 25 th June when eight teams descend on Crosskeys from 4.15 pm to participate in the Cup and Shield competitions. This will be a family fun day with face painting and bouncy castles for the younger folk and more importantly SOSAD and the Mens Cancer Alliance will be in attendance to offer assistance as will CARA Pharmacy. The evening will conclude with a Prize Giving Barbeque in Carraig Springs.
Crowds have been excellent at the games to date and whilst there is NO admission voluntary contributions towards this year's chosen charities are welcome.
Over the past week-end Ramor Utd. Made an impressive return to their old stomping ground in Crosskeys where the accounted for a resilient Killinkere outfit to secure a Cup semi-final against Crosserlough. Killinkere although defeated will relish the opportunity to take on another neighbouring club in Laragh Utd in the Shield Semi-final.
Lavey complete the teams in the Cup semi-finals whilst Ballyhaise will meet Denn in the second Shield semi-final.
