Under 14; Feilé na nGael 2016

What an incredible weekends hurling in Tipperary. We were hosted by Roscrea Hurling club who had two teams in the competition one of whom operated in Division 1 which was great for our boys to see. We had great games v Roscrea, Rosenallis from Laois and the club we hosted in 2015 Caiseal Gaels from Mayo who went on to reach the Shield final only to lose narrowly to Rosenallis. Plus the boys got to watch some top class hurling from the elite sides in the competition and pick up some ideas to use on the fields of Cavan and further afield in future. Our players had fantastic host families who couldn't do more to keep the boys entertained.

The boys were exemplarily well behaved all weekend and were a credit to their families and their club. Well done to Kathryn, Maurice, Sharon and Brendan for all their hard work in preparing the boys for what is a huge undertaking. This is a great weekend of learning for all our players and was hugely enjoyable for all. Thanks to all the vocal East Cavan Gaels supporters who travelled in great numbers to Tipperary. They now know there is hurling in Cavan!!

Roll on 2017!

Exams;

Wishing all our players taking the state exams all the very best of luck over the coming week as the exams come to an end. We know these boys work very hard on the field and know they will do their very best also in their exams.
