Denn GFC

Blotto
The Blotto Draw took place on Monday 8th February. The winning numbers were 6,11,13,321. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €25 were Philip Galligan, Elizabeth Donohoe, Ruth Galligan Kilnaleck, Hannah McDermott Alacken, Tom Galligan Pullakeel. The next draw will be on Monday 15th February in The Den. Jackpot is now €12,300.

First Aid & Defibrillator Training
The club are holding First Aid & Defibrillator training course on Friday Friday 12th February in Drumavaddy Community Centre from 7pm to 10pm. Places are limited. If interested in participating, please contact Brendan O'Reilly on 086 3859897. This is not only for people involved with players and coaches but also those who wish to have basic first aid and defibrillator training.

Minor League
Denn have been drawn in Division 3 of the 2016 Minor League against  Lavey, Cornafean, Cuchulainns, Naomh Brid (Redhills, Butlersbridge & Drumalee), West Cavan Gaels (Kildallon, Corlough, Shannon Gaels & Swanlinbar), Bailieborough. Their first game of the competition will be against Naomh Brid in Round 2 on Saturday 20th February in Butlersbridge at 2pm.

Minor Championship Presentation
The presentation to the Denn Minor Championship winning team will take place on Saturday night, February 13th in the Carraig Springs.

Spring League & ACFL
The Spring League will start on Sunday March 6th. Denn will be playing in Group B in Division 3 along with Shercock, Killinkere, Laragh Utd and Ballymachugh. The first game is at home to Shercock on Sunday March 6th.  The ACFL Division 3 begins on Sunday March 2oth and our first game is away to Laragh Utd.

MacRory Cup
Good luck to Thomas Edward Donohoe, Conor O'Reilly & Oisin Kiernan and the St Patricks team and management who play St Patrick's Dungannon in the quarter final of the MacRory Cup.

Danske Bank Arthurs Cup
Well done to Breffni College and the Denn representsatives on the team, Eoin Reilly & Leon Cobey who won the semi-final of the Danske Bank Arthurs Cup beating Dean Maguirc College on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-11.

St Clares College, Ballyjamesduff
Well done to St Clares College Ballyjamesduff who had wins in both the Corn Cuchulainn and Corn MacNeasa competitions.

Cavan Senior Team
Hard luck to Tomas Corr and the Cavan Senior team who were beaten by Derry on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-11 in Round 2 of the Division 2 Allianz League on Saturday evening last.

Start Dates for Senior Competitions
The start dates for the senior leagues have been announced.
Senior Spring League: Sunday 6th March
Senior ACFL: Sunday 20th March
Reserve ACFL: Saturday the 19th April

Couch to 5K
Denn GAA Juvenile Football Club have resumed their Couch to 5K. There is a personal trainer onsite. Classes continue every Tuesday and Thursday night from 8pm - 9pm. Everyone welcome - all ages, walkers, joggers, runners. The cost is just membership and E2 per session.

Cavan GAA Coaching Night
Cavan GAA are hosting a coaching night in the Hotel Kilmore on Thursday February 11th at 7:30pm.
The breakdown is as follows and please all administrators and coaches from clubs must attend. A Guest Speaker will address the full group attending.
Workshop1: "Gaelic Start"  given by Ulster Tutor Eoin Mooney
Workshop2: "Developing Young Hurlers for the Future" given Ulster Tutors Kevin Kelly & Pauric Dowdall
Workshop3: "Implement Club Coaching Structures" given by Ulter Tutor Diarmaid Marsde
Workshop4: "Fitness, Condition and Injury Prevention" given Cavan Senior Team Condition Coach Eoin Maguire.

Clildren's / Designated Officer Course
The new Children's/Designated Officer Course takes place in Kingspan Breffni Park on Thursday 18th February. Participants must have already completed the Code of Ethics/Basic Awareness course. (Anyone who has completed the Foundation coaching course will have this). Advance booking is essential - places limited to 18. Contact Anne on 0879874758 or [email protected]

Club Membership 
2016 Club Membership is now due. In order to be entitled to the rights of a full member, a person must have their fees paid to the club.  Rates are the same as in 2015. Anyone that uses the club's facilities, even if it is only walking around the pitch must be fully paid up members to be insured. Social membership is also available for both individuals and families.Individual social membership costs E15 and Family social membership costs E30. Contact any committee member.
