Seniors
Well done to our Senior men and Management team who produced a wonderful performance in dire weather conditions to defeat Shercock by 1-14 to 0-8 in the Division 2 League in Rory O'Moore Park on Sunday last. Leading by 0-8 to 0-6 at half time Belturbet scored a goal just minutes into the second half courtesy of a Jason O'Reilly fisted goal and proceeded to outscore their opponents by 1-6 to 0-2 in the second half to clinch a nine point victory. Senior Ladies
Hard luck to our Senior Ladies who were defeated by Lacken in Round 1 of the Senior Ladies championship yesterday evening in Crowe Park. Our senior ladies are due to face Knockbride this Sunday August 2 in Round 2.
Cavan Ladies
Congratulations to Sarah Murray and the Cavan Ladies who emphatically thumped Down by 10-25 to 0-3 in the TG4 Senior Ladies Championship in St.Tiernach's Park, Clones on Saturday last. Cavan will now face Monaghan in the next round of the Qualifiers on Saturday August 8 at 5.15 p.m in Kingspan Breffni Park.
Cavan Minors
Best of luck to Stuart Dunne and the Cavan Minors who face Kildare in the All Ireland Minor Championship Quarter Final this Saturday August 1 at 6.30 p.m in Pairc Tailteann, Navan.
U16s
Well done to our U16s who defeated Cavan Gaels by 3-8 to 0-5 in U16 Division 2 Championship in Rory O'Moore Park on Thursday evening last. Our U16's travel to Canningstown tomorrow evening Thursday to face Knockbride at 7.30 p.m in final group game.
Cavan U16s
Congratulations to Killian Collins, John Joe Collins, Killian Murray and the Cavan U16s who defeated Dublin by 2-12 to 0-8 in the Gerry Reilly U16 Tournament Final last Sunday evening in Oldcastle.
U13 Girls
Commiserations to our U13 Girls team who suffered a one point defeat to Mullahoran in the Division 5 League final in Cornafean on Sunday evening last.
U12s
Our U12's defeated Denn by 5-7 to 4-6 in Round 1 of the Orange Group of the Summer League on Monday evening last in Rory O'Moore Park. Our U12s are away to Ballinagh in Round 2 of the Orange Group of the Summer League on Tuesday next August 4 at 7.30 p.m.
Condolences to the O'Reilly family
Belturbet Rory O'Moore's GFC wish to extend their deepest sympathies to the family of Frankie O'Reilly Kilconny, Belturbet who passed away peacefully on Friday morning last. Frankie made a huge contribution to the club throughout his life and was a terrific stalwart whom we will all miss. Club Officials and Players formed a Guard of Honour at his Funeral mass in Staghall Church on Sunday last. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
Club Membership
For those wanting to pay the standard club membership fees for 2015, individual membership for a player or club member, is €50 per person. Family Membership costs are set at €100. Club Membership can be paid to club chairman Mark Lawlor, vice-chairman Liam McCabe, Treasurer Alan Traynor or any of the club committee
