Annalee ParkDespite the unfavourable weather and intense usage of Annalee Park the grounds are looking resplendent with very good surface due in no small measure to the huge effort of grounds manager Tommy Conaty. Tommy looks after the grounds in a voluntary capacity and deserves huge credit for his efforts.

Breffni League

Ballyhaise visited Terry Coyle Park on last Sunday in the Breffni League and after a keenly contested game both sides finished level with the score Cavan Gaels 0-14 Ballyhaise 1-11

Lotto Draw

Numbers drawn on Monday 11 May were 2,25,27, 30 and bonus 11. Prize winners were Annual Sub Eamon Costello, Mary Faulkner Redhills,Cody McDonald Meadowview Park, Barry Mulligan Kilnavara and seller's prize Seamus McEntee. Last week's draw was in Pat's with €3200 on 4 and €5200 with bonus.

Poker Classic

The weekly poker classic takes place in Anthony's on Friday with proceeds in aid of Juvenile Club.

U6-U8

Training continues on a Saturday mornings from 9.45 to 11am in Annalee Park. New players especially welcome.

The u8's next game is scheduled for a home game for the U8's is against Kilinkere this Saturday.

U-10

We played Kill U-10 team last Saturday away in the go games organised by Cavan County board. The highlight of the game for our boys was that it was refereed by all Ireland Final referee Joe Mc Quillan. No cards were handed out and both teams enjoyed the game.

Medal Presentations

The club had 4 players who collected Ulster Colleges winners medals last Friday night at a special Dinner Dance presentation in the Hotel Kilmore. Conor Smith & Eoin Clarke collected Corn na nOg medals, while David Brady & Aodhagan Watters collected Mac Rory Medals. Congrats to all the lads.

Annalee Gaels Juvenile Hurling

The U12 team played East Cavan Gaels in Redhills on Thursday evening last and despite their young age profile the Annalee Gaels boys competed well and showed that their skills are constantly improving. The team was Conor Smith, Cormac Clarke, Cormac Hegarty, Michael Wall, Ben Smith Leo Jennings, Luke Gilmartin, Colm Brady, Cormac Reilly, Conor Mooney and Killian Brady. Coaching for all age groups will be held in Redhills on Saturday afternoon at 2pm

Cavan GAA Open Evening

A sizeable number of our underage players attended the Cavan GAA open evening in Breffni Park 3G pitch last Friday evening. Photos were taken and autographs received, faces were painted and a good evening fun was had by all. Many thanks to the large number Cavan players, Management team, Officers of the County Board who took time out from their busy schedule to be there.

All Roads lead to Breffni

Best wishes to Cavan in both Senior and Minor games against Monaghan in Breffni Park this Sunday and in particular to minor club player David Brady who is part of the minor panel. Best wishes also to senior team manager Terry Hyland who runs Hyland Hardware in Ballyhaise. Tickets are now on sale for this game and are available through our club secretary, Kingspan Breffni Park Office, Tarpeys Supervalu store or online www.gaa.tickets.ie.

Spanish Students

Saint Patrick's Summer Language School is now in its fourth summer in Cavan and we are currently looking for host families for our Spanish students aged 10 to 17. Families are renumerated and host family children of the same age have the option of taking part in the afternoon sports and activities programme free of charge.The camp runs for three weeks in July and the dates are from Tuesday 30th of June until Tuesday 21st of July.Former club player Barry Lynch is looking for host families for the students. Coaching Corner

There are a number of coaching positions available for our Cavan Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps. Completed application forms must be returned so as to arrive not later than 5.00pm on this Friday the 22nd May. These forms are available from our Coaching Officer JC Brady or can be down loaded from Cavan GAA website at www. cavangaa.ie
