Senior & Junior Player of the Year

Congratulations to Danny Anscombe who was crowned our Senior Player of the Year for 2014 and Congratulations to Niall Lawlor who picked up the Young Player of the Year Accolade for 2014.

Senior Management
The club are delighted to announce the arrival of Mark Monaghan as our new senior manager for 2015 with Jason O'Reilly acting as team trainer. We would like to wish Mark and Jason and the rest of the Senior backroom staff the very best of luck for the 2015 season.

Club Belturbet was launched at the recent club AGM. Club Belturbet Membership can be paid by Standing Order, Cheque or by Cash. Below is the following Membership Categories.
 
Option Number 1 : Individual
€240.00/per year = €20 per month.
€260.00(Lotto 52 x 5) + €50 Membership + €64.00(Home Game Entry).
€374.00 - €240.00 = €134.00 saving annually.
 
Also Included: Once off Specially Designed Jacket.
 
Option Number 2: Family
€300.00/per year = €25/per month.
€260.00(Lotto 52 x 5) + €100.00 Membership + €124.00(Home Game Entry).
€484.00 - €300.00 = €184.00 saving annually.

AGM
Our club AGM was held in the Goods Store, Railway Station on Sunday week last. Below is the officers elected to the various positions. A huge word of thanks to our outgoing secretary Dermot Lavin who vacated the secretarial post having held the position for the last three years and who excelled in the role for the club. We wish all our officers the very best of luck in their positions in 2015.

St.Bricin's
Congratulations to St.Bricin's and their manager Stephen Smith who defeated St.Aidan's from Cootehill by 1-6 to 0-7 in the U18 B Schools final in the 3G Pitch on Wednesday evening last in the 3G Pitch, Kingspan Breffni Park. St.Bricin's held a 1-2 to 0-4 half time lead with the goal coming courtesy of U16 forward John Joe Collins.  Killian Murray's point and three second half points from Stuart Dunne ensured that St.Bricin's clinched a two point win to claim the county title. There was a large number of our U16, minor and senior club players on the St.Bricin's team with Shane Fitzpatrick captaining the side and Stuart Dunne picking up the Man of the Match Award. Best of luck to St.Bricin's who now go forward into Ulster where they will compete in the Pete Ward Cup.
 
New Juvenile Chairman
Congratulations to Darragh McAvinney who has been appointed the new Juvenile Chairman for 2015. The club wishes Darragh the very best of luck in his new role and would like to sincerely thank outgoing chairperson Eileen Browne for all her tremendous work and commitment she has given to the role of chairperson for the last number of years.
 
St Pat's Cavan
Congratulations to St.Patrick's College Cavan who were crowned Corn Na Nog Champions on Saturday week last in Scotstown when they defeated St. Patrick's Dungannon by 1-9 to 1-6 thus ending a 42 year wait for a title in the grade. Congrats to our club player Gavin Brady who was on the successful St. Pat's panel.

County Convention
The Cavan County Convention was held in the Hotel Kilmore on Thursday evening last. Congratulations to Gerry Brady from Gowna who has been appointed the new Cavan County Board Chairman, Paddy Sheanon who was appointed the new Vice Chairman of the county board and to Ballyhaise's Mark O'Rourke who was appointed the new PRO.
 
Belturbet GFC Club Gear
Belturbet GFC Club Gear is now available to purchase from the Sports Shop in Cavan Town. Club T-Shirts, zip-tops and training jackets are just some of the merchandise available.
 
GAA Club National Draw
The Club are selling Gaa national club draw tickets for 2015 with the price of a ticket €10 each. There are 15 excellent prizes on offer including travel packages, shopping vouchers and lots more. We would appreciate your support in purchasing tickets.
