Club Summer Camp

Thank you to all the kids who attended this years 3 day summer camp it was a huge success and a big thank you to all the coaches for giving us their time over the 3 days to help run and organise the camp we look forward to seeing you all next year.

 

Club Draw

The club draw for the All Ireland Hurling Tickets will take place on Monday night the 13th at 8pm in the clubrooms. Best of luck all.

 

Loop the lakes charity run

Loop of the lakes charity run has return and will take place on Saturday 1st September it is delighted to be once again supporting SoSad Cavan and Pieta House, Preventing suicide and self harm. The online booking has open and the link can be found on there Facebook page or the Killeshandra GAA page please support this amazing event.

Killeshandra Seniors

Intermediate Championship

Round 2

Killeshandra v Belturbet on Saturday 11th August the game ended Killeshandra 3-03(12) Belturbet 2-10(16).

The game started at 7.30pm in very wet conditions both teams had a few misses at points in the opening minutes and a great saved in the sixth minute my Joe Masterson but Belturbet managed to get the opening point in the seventh minute and went on to get another three points in the next seven minutes which seen us trailing by 4 points Belturbet went for goal in the tenth minute but Joe had another great saved. Belturbet managed to get another point before we where awarded a penalty in the twentieth minute Daniel Luby took it and got our first score of the game. Belturbet responded by getting another point and a goal before we managed to get our first point of the game by Austin Fitzpatrick which see the first half score line at Killeshandra 1-01 Belturbet 1-05. The second half started with very heavy rain fall and very tough conditions for both teams but Killeshandra came back out strong and open the score line with a Goal in the first minute by Austin Fitzpatrick follow by a point by Thomas O Reilly which brought the game back to a draw but Belturbet where on there heels scoring another goal and a point in the text ten minutes and could have had another goal only for Joes great saved. Belturbet were on form and managed to get another four points before we received our second penalty of the game Daniel Luby stepping up once again to take it and getting the third goal for Killeshandra and a minute later we received a free in, Eoin Brady took the point to bring Killeshandra back to a four point game. Belturbet went for another goal in the dying minutes but yet again another great save by Joe and the game ended Killeshandra 3-03 Belturbet 2-10. Hard luck to the lads but very well done to both teams who had to play in very hard weather conditions.

Girls U10s to U15s training is on Saturday mornings from 11.30am to 12.30pm in Killeshandra training pitch.

Underage Training

Underage training is now at the pitch from 10am on Saturday mornings U7s up to U11s.
