Hard luck to Cavan who bowed out of the Championship after a 0-18 to 1-12 loss to Tyrone in the All Ireland Round 3 Qualifier in Brewster Park on Saturday last.
Cavan Minors
Hard luck to Cavan Minors on their 2-16 to 2-4 loss to Monaghan in the Ulster Minor Championship Semi Final in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh on Sunday last.
Seniors
Our Seniors lost by 1-12 to 0-10 to Knockbride in the ACFL Division 2 league in Canningstown on Sunday last. Team: Cian Vaughan, Luke Smith, Stuart Dunne, Kevin McConnell, Shane Fitzpatrick(C), Niall O'Reilly, John Cahill, Fionan O'Reilly(0-1), Cormac Donohoe, Enda Henry(0-7 3f), Eoin McGuigan, Conal McGinley(0-1), Niall Lawlor, Donal McDonald(0-1), Conor Vaughan. Sub: Killian Murray. Our Seniors take on Bailieborough this Saturday July 7 at 7pm in Emmett Park, Butlersbridge.
Reserves
Commiserations to our Reserves who lost out to Knockbride by 5-17 to 2-18 after extra time in the ACFL Reserve Division 3 League Final in St.Bridget's Park on Sunday last. Team: Danny Anscombe, Killian Murray, Padraic Rehill, Mark O'Reilly, Ryan McGovern, Luke Smith, Cian Vaughan, Killian Teevan, Shane Lawlor, James McCaffrey, Wayne Harvey, Ronan Vesey(C), Donal McDonald. U15s
Well done to our U15s who defeated Crosserlough by 8-9 to 5-9 in the U15 Division 3 Championship in the 3G Pitch, Kingspan Breffni yesterday evening. Our U15's travel to O'Raghallaigh Park this Friday evening to take on Kingscourt at 8pm.
U17s
Our U17s begin their U17 Division 3 Championship on Tuesday next July 10 when they take on Templeport at 7.30 p.m in Round 1 in St.Aidan's Park, Bawnboy.
Cavan Minor Ladies
Commiserations to Aine Dennehy and the Cavan Minors on their 6-12 to 4-13 loss to Galway in the Minor All Ireland A Semi Final after extra time in Moate on Saturday last.
Cul Camp
Thanks to all who supported this year's Club Cul Camp held in Milltown, Drumlane. Thanks to Andy and his coaches, to all the kids who attended and to our club volunteers James, Kieran, Sean, Olivia, Grainne and Aoife.
McCaugheys Fuels Kit for Clubs
Belturbet GFC are running with this initiative for the Juvenile Clubs with McCaughey Fuels of Clones. Please help to spread the word to family, friends and neighbours and help us get kit and gear for our underage. With Each Heating Oil Delivery the club will receive 1 token. More details are contained in the posters on club facebook and twitter accounts. There is a box in Gala in town to leave tokens in and they can also be given to club members.
Club Membership
Many thanks to all who have paid their Membership and to those who are on Direct Debit, it is badly needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which are underway at present. Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club. Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2018 can be returned to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
