Juvenile AGM

Belturbet Juvenile AGM takes place this Friday January 19th at 8pm in the Seven Horseshoes Hotel. We would encourage as many of our members as is possible to attend.

Congratulations Padraic & Christina

The club would like to extend their heartiest congratulations  to our Senior Defender Padraic Rehill and his wife Christina on their recent wedding day  from all at Belturbet GFC. Padraic who has gone by the moniker "Nuts and Bolts" spanning all the way back to underage football with the club has been a fantastic servant to the Rorys since he first laced up a pair of boots for the club way back in the late 1990s. Manning the full back berth, where he was everpresent from Under 10 al...l the way up through the underage ranks to U21 Level, Padraic was part of the side that reached numerous finals through every age group and were unlucky to come up against strong amalgamations.  A solid defender whose cool temperament, composure on the ball, no-nonsense approach and organisational skills have kept all of his fellow defenders in check spanning a couple of decades across all age codes and have resulted in him getting the better of many a forward he marked. The leadership and experience resulted in him being entrusted with captaincy duties this year where he captained the Junior side to a league final where he was unfortunate to pick up an injury which ruled him out of the remainder of the campaign.  Intelligence, quick wit and great humour ensure that Padraic is one of the most popular members of the dressing room. One of the few Rorys to appear on RTE Television in Paris Padraic is also one of the most cultured and well travelled men in our club where he alongside Christina has visited numerous exotic locations throughout the globe. A sound fellow both on and off the field Padraic has made a huge contribution to the club and everyone at the club is delighted for both you and Christina and we wish you all the very best wishes in your married life together.

 

Underage Boys Presentation

There will be a presentation night on Friday January 26th in the Seven Horseshoes for the victorious underage boys teams in the club with special guest on the night Mayo Senior Star Diarmuid O'Connor.

McCaugheys Fuels Kit for Clubs

Belturbet GFC are running with this initiative for the Juvenile Clubs with McCaughey Fuels of Clones. Please help to spread the word to family, friends and neighbours and help us get kit and gear for our underage. With Each Heating Oil Delivery the club will receive 1 token. More details are contained in the posters on club facebook and twitter accounts. There is a box in Gala in town to leave tokens in  and they can also be given to club members.

 

Club Membership
Many thanks to all who have paid their Membership and to those who are on Direct Debit, it is badly needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which are underway at present.  Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club.    Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2018 can be returned  to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
