Clonkill captain Paddy Dowdall celebrate their Westmeath SHC final win

Clonkill 4-9
St Mullin's 0-9

Clonkill will host Oulart the Ballagh in the Leinster Club SHC semi-final after they scored an impressive 12 point victory over St Mullin's in Netwatch Cullen Park.

Centre-back Brendan Murtagh and full-forard Niall Dowdall netted two goals apiece as the Westmeath champions enjoyed a convincing success.

The visitors fell 0-1 to 0-3 in arrears early on before Murtagh raised their first green flag of the afternoon via the penalty spot.

Murtagh pounced for his team's second goal in the 19th minute from a close range free to parachute his team into a four point lead and Dowdall added a third to send Clonkill in at half-time with a 3-4 to 0-7 cushion.

Dowdall's second green flag put the game beyond St Mullin's reach and the home side's woes were compounded when midfielder Jack Kavanagh was sent off.
