McCormack seeks more

August 19, 2015

Despite seeing his side pick up another win in the SHC campaign, St Mullins' manager Anthony McCormack believes they have much more to work on.

A 3-14 to 1-12 win over Erin's Own last Friday night sets the saints up nicely after three rounds of the championship.

However, McCormack stressed to the Carlow Nationalist that there are plenty of areas that they must improve on.

"We have a lot of work to do still. We are showing it in flashes but have no consistency at the moment," said McCormack.

"I know we have the hurlers and know we have the work-rate at times. When we sit back and wait for things to happen they didn't happen. The lads need to realise that.

"The work rate wasn't what it should be. Maybe the Friday night match was not what it should be with lads coming from work."
