Suspension looming for Carlow manager

April 01, 2015

The dreaded red card

Carlow manager Turlough O'Brien could be facing a 12-week ban from an incident that occurred following their narrow defeat to Offaly.

O'Brien and goalkeeper Craig Kearney were reported by referee Damien Maher for verbal abuse and the CCC proposed that both men be handed 12-week suspensions.

However, they are appealing the bans and met with the CCC last Thursday night, but a decision has yet to be reached.

O'Brien was on the line for last weekend's defeat to Leitrim, but he could be in the stands for their Leinster championship campaign.
