Carlow and Rathvilly's Barry-John Molloy

Barry John Molloy felt Carlow were desperately unlucky not to beat Offaly in last Sunday's Allianz Football League clash.

A few crucial decisions went against the Barrowsiders as they succumbed to a late Offaly rally which all but ended their hopes of securing promotion from Division 4.

"We got a goal and went up by three. To be honest, a few decisions went their way. Last week was the same. We are getting a bit tired of it now. Inconsistency. It's hard to take," the defender complained in the Carlow Nationalist.

"We were the hungrier team, the better team. The tackling went in from the full forward line back. When you are playing in the backs and you see the full forward line tackling like that, it gives you a big boost. It is new to this Carlow team.

"It wasn't there for the last three or four years. Ever since I was involved anyway. It is good to see."
