Carlow hop from red to black

December 10, 2014

Carlow GAA's finances are in a healthy state.

The Carlow GAA convention takes place this Friday night in Eire Og's Teach Asca and delegates will be informed that the finances have gone from a net deficit of €22,250 in 2013 to a surplus of €26,189 at the end of this year.

That is a difference of almost €50,000 in just 12 months. One of the main reasons for the turnaround is that the cost of preparing teams has gone down from €474,954 to €396,829.

However, there was an increase in income as gate receipts, fundraising as well as other sources were all up.
