Ballon captain Frank Fanning admits that every step in the Leinster club JFC is a bonus for them.
The Carlow champions caused a surprise last weekend by defeating Offaly's Daingean in the quarterfinal and they now go on to play Westmeath side Moate in the Leinster semi-final.
Speaking to the Carlow Nationalist, Fanning admitted that they have taken it one game at a time right from the start of the year.
"The target at the start of the year was to win a county final. We got going after a slow start. When we got over St Patrick's in the semi-final the target was Palatine in the final," said Fanning.
He added: "I would have said we had a chance after the semi-final. After the county final I would have said no. The spirit is good now and we are looking forward."
