Karl O'Dwyer isn't comfortable with the idea of his Old Leighlin team being favourites to beat Rathvilly in today's Carlow SFC final.

Leighlin defeated Rathvilly in last year's decider, but the Kerry native and former Kildare star said in the Carlow Nationalist: "Looking at their semi-final performance, Rathvilly are a team who are hungry and they won't be easily beaten."

Meanwhile, his Rathvilly counterpart John Smith is hoping his forwards will click on the big occasion.

"Old Leighlin are strong in the backs. Against Eire Og the forwards did well and hopefully we can keep our shooting boots on for the final," he said.
